They are those "average joes" the ones that don't know a thing about fashion. They think Raquel is pretty. They love her lips and eyes. Well, say that I'm sorry to your friends, but they don't have the taste for beauty. Carol is one of the most beautiful women in the universe. Just because she has a simple face, that you wouldn't be surprised to witness in the street, doesn't mean she isn't beautiful. But nowdays people just started to check who has beautiful eyes, and nice lips, and who got this both is considered beautiful. Sorry her fans, but when talking about beauty, Carol owns Raquel. And she owns by far. Plus about people calling her ugly, you can check the threads, and see people calling Gisele ugly also. But everygirl has her fans, and haters(lack of better word to replace), so Carol may get really big. But for being as big as Naomi, Gisele, Kate, etc. I gotta admit that it takes more than work ethic, beauty, and stuff. Actually the prime thing that counts is Contraversy. If not no big scandal, or stuff, at least to have some relationship with some celebrities, raises their level. Don't no one tell me that Naomi, Gisele or Kate are what they are just with their fashion appearances. So, I don't think Carol will reach their level. My bet goes to Daria, Miranda & especially Gemma. Not that I love them, but they really are something special. Daria is by far the smartest model I have ever witnessed. Hearing her talking can't be compared to hearing Gisele or Adriana. She may be really big deal for TV shows which is a big thing. Plus she has a pretty face, and a skinny but yet curvy body. And not to mention that she rules the runways. Miranda, is the next Lima IMO. She is the sweet sexy thing, that lots of people will google for the next decade. Hate it or love it, she will rule the VS. The problem is, will she be there in runways. Doubtful, but not impossible. And last but not least: Gemma. IMO, she even has a shot to Gisele's richest model title. She is 19, right? She is so damn beautiful, and sweet, and already has got big in the biz, but if she becomes a VS model(which will happen 99% within 3 years at most), I think she will rule the biz. Maybe if she gains a bit of weight she would become even better, but even without so, there will always be people to adore her But as I before said, some contraversy won't hurt no-one right? I think Gisele isn't really as big as Naomi and Kate even though she gets paid more. Quote

Naomi is the name that everyone knows. I mean, I have friends that when you ask who's the most beautiful girl in the world, they go like: Jessica Alba, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, and than they add Naomi. The problem is not that they have no taste, but the problem is they don't know the fashion biz. They just know the celebrities, and Naomi is nearly as famous as celebrities! She started in what? 1985! On the other hand, I can't say the same for Kate! Yes, she is famous also, but down here in Europe(except England) I don't think she is really much more known than Gisele. They are equally famous, and maybe Gisele is a bit more. But even if Kate is more famous, she is not as respected as Gisele! I think that 95% of people who knew Kate's name before the drug scandal, usually know the name of Gisele also. As far as you rate them as a model, I'll say that Gisele is bigger, but Kate on the other hand has the longitivity, so this might put Kate one step forward, if you are based on it. Anyway, this are just my opinions. I'm not really that much inside of the fashion biz. LOL Oh yeah, one last thing, I absolutely never consider how much they are paid, when I discuss about models, celebrities, singers, or even athletes. Actually in some other forums I post, I fight really hard against this phenom. After all, Why should we care Quote

VS imo would ruin a career, it would ruined a lot of people's career, look at adriana she had good editorials then she got that VS contract and now? her modeling career isn't even portfolio worthy. Well, I totally agree that VS ruins most of the careers, but I don't think that it would ruin the career of Daria also! I don't know maybe it's just me, but I think that she will keep ruling the runways, even if she starts VS! I know that it ruined Adriana's career, as it will ruin the careers of Miranda, Doutzen, etc. But from what I do get when I hear her talking, Daria seems to look at things from another point of view. I do get your point, and I totally agree, but what I was saying was something else. I know that Daria doesn't fit the VS perfectly, but I think that even if she start w/ VS, she will still remain a heavyweight in runways, and eds! I just said that in contrast of some other models, Daria would still care more about the 'true' modelling, than she will for VS. And neither I do care for VS that much. I just love to see my fav. models as much as I can, thats all! Quote

A model needs to make a living, so she's going to make decisions based on that -- i.e., she'll take the bigger paycheck if she can get it, which is why I've always been stumped when people here disdain VS. I mean, a model would have to be stupid not to sign with VS if she had the chance. It's where the money and fame is, and it certainly wouldn't ruin her career, except in the eyes of high fashion fans more concerned with their own opinion of a model over what that model herself might desire. Not that I'm saying all models are out for money, or that I would know if it was the case; it's just my thoughts! Quote
