Lily, Erin, And Candice: New Angels

Meet Victoria's Secret's new crop of heavenly bodies

In the high-stakes world of fashion modeling, there exists a small clutch of jobs reserved only for the most gorgeous, talented, and, needless to say, luckiest girls in the industry. These include magazine covers, cosmetics contracts, and, above all, the coveted role of Victoria’s Secret Angel. Chosen for both their beauty and physical prowess, these winged ones fly around the world, spreading their message of voluptuous seduction and heating up runways in fantastical creations that entice men and entrance women. But Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and Heidi Klum are already household names. Now, meet the next generation: Lily Aldridge, Erin Heatherton, and Candice Swanepoel—new Angels for a new year.

All three take their jobs very seriously. (When Aldridge found out she got the gig, she “started jumping up and down like a little girl!”) And the pace is demanding. There are fashion shoots in St. Bart’s, personal appearances in every corner of the globe, and the biggest job of all, the internationally broadcast Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, complete with plenty of scintillating, skin-baring creations and big-name live entertainment (most recently Katy Perry). Swanepoel lives for the fantasy of it all: “One of my outfits has spikes and black crystals all over it—not something I’m planning to wear in the bedroom any time soon!” Aldridge just likes the excitement: “Backstage is complete madness! Everyone is running around and making last-minute changes, and there are cameras and people everywhere. I love it!” And then there’s the education—for example, as Swanepoel points out, did you know there are three different levels of cleavage?

But what exactly are these so-called “secrets” held so close to Victoria’s bosom? “One is an attitude,” Heatherton explains. “No matter what kind of girl you are, or what your body looks like, the thing that shines most is confidence. When you embrace yourself, it truly radiates from the inside out. That’s what makes a bombshell.” But Swanepoel demurs: “I can’t tell you what Victoria’s secret is—but use your imagination!”

Valentines Day Victorias Secret Style

Woke up to heavy fog in Bahamas that has has stopped my shoot for the morning. Needing something to put me in a better mood while I wait the fog out and I received these shots I took recently for Victorias Secret Valentines Day. Was such a fun shoot - Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel...and flowers . Definitely put a great smile on my face, it was one of those jobs where everyone had a load of fun and I feel like it translated in to the shots. There is also a video of the shoot over at victoriassecret.com under ‘all access’. Fog is clearing!
