In reality they sell international magazines in big book stores here in Italy, but they costs too much, like three times the actual price.

They are not considered fashion models but Kate Upton is? Getting the cover is all about connection and favoritism. I'm sure if Anna really liked Adri and Candice enough, they'd have had a cover already. Most lf these covers sell due to timing. Rihanna has had a lowest selling issue of Vogue before and I'm sure there's no shortage of low selling celebrity vogue covers. Did you see how Vogue hyped that insta-girls cover with Joan, Cara and co? It turned out to be a disappointment.

Joan's US Elle cover did really well because she was at a state in her career when she was doing great things and she had people's attention. The editor of Elle said this.

There are models/ccelebrities who have landed the cover yet they are below Candice and Adriana when it comes to public recognition (Looking at you Natalia Vodianova)
