Candice definitely tried to make it work. She went to Colorado with him and the kids over Christmas Break. He was at her house with his friend, Lenny. Joan seems to be the common denominator between Candice and Tom, which is why I think they were introduced by her, if Joan was seeing him on and off for almost a year, they probably met at some point I feel like, it would be weird if she hadn't already met him, and then went after him when he was done with Joan

As for Candice and Tom, if they've been sleeping together since April, they've been going for 7 months, that's actually a really long time, as for whether or not it's serious, I think Candice does like having casual sex with men, like she was doing with Harry Styles for months, I think she has said in an interview before that she loves sex

I think when she's not working, Tom is probably the only person she hangs out with, she has all day to spend with him when her kids are at school, she probably spends the day with Tom and afternoons and nights with her kids

So I think their relationship is actually serious, I do understand though why people don't like him for her, I also feel kinda sad she's with a dude that's going around fucking tons of women, I also didn't like her being with Harry Styles for the same reason, but maybe she's fine with it, maybe she doesn't want something serious, maybe she's just good with casual sex

Most of us felt that Shaffer and Candice were a bit of an odd couple. I guess it’s because, physically, they’re obviously in very different leagues (Candice’s confirmed dating history sets very high physical standards, Hermann, Pietro, and Velencoso, all three models, especially the last two, so Shaffer didn’t fit the type of partner we were used to seeing Candice with), and, as far as we know, he didn’t have the money, fame, or professional success to make up for it and be a little more on Candice’s level.

Which is a very superficial judgment of the couple, because he might simply be a very charismatic and funny guy who’s already had success with very attractive women in the past, but since we didn’t know anything else about him, we all felt that way to some extent.

But there was time between when Irina was with Tom versus what's being alleged about Candice. It's not like Joan was manipulating and pressuring Irina into ending things with Tom like it appears Candice was doing to Joan only to swoop in and immediately start dating him. I'm sure other things are involved as well. But this was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I truly believe Tom hasn't got over Gisele. He still has tons of posts up with her like from their anniversary. He's trying to replicate what he had with her which is why he dates VS angels/models. Unfortunately, they're not her.

Honesty it appears Gisele is way happier now than when she was with tom. That has be a hint that he ain’t the best partner to have. Yes, he has fame, money and is not bad looking but it appears he already cheated on Candice and if he did it once he will do it again. If Candice wants that she’ll truly never be happy. I guess we will have to wait and see if this is serious or they just sleeping around.

I always thought she was going to end up with a Latin man since that’s what she’s into. At this point, Joan should just say what truly happened and close this chapter of her life and move on.

Most women think he’s really good looking as well. And I guess with the kids and being a dad they have their single parenthood in common which is a big thing as well.

Realistically, Joan and Candice have been friends for 15 years, they BOTH have a lot of dirt on each other. I'm sure Joan might want to say more, but I'm also sure she's intelligent enough to realize if she burns Candice's life and career to the ground, Candice will have nothing left to lose, and can easily turn around and burn Joan's life and career to the ground, too.

My thoughts: Joan and Tom had a casual, on/off fling, and Candice probably didn't think there was a "girl code" to break if they were essentially FWB. Candice might have mentioned Gisele in passing, but I don't believe this theory that she actively worked to break up Joan and Tom. Frankly, they were never in a committed relationship, there was hardly anything for Candice to break up 💀 Joan is dramatizing things for attention, as is her reputation.

And the thing is, Joan is always posting shady stories and alluding to being involved in drama, so we can't even assume everything Joan posts is about Candice because this is just Joan's 24/7/365 norm. The only difference is she's actually getting media attention for once.

What I find interesting is, Joan kept things quiet until Candice unfollowed her... was she really that triggered by Candice simply unfollowing her? And if she was... girl, get a life.

One last thing I want to note: Twitter/X users from Hermann's town in Brazil have long commented that Hermann cheated on Candice throughout their relationship, and especially during her second pregnancy. Given they were together from the time Candice was a teenager until almost 30, that probably affected what she believes she deserves in a man/relationship. Just to add perspective to her taste in men.
