NAs are not as popular as the old angels right there, but if I had to pick, in a heartbeat its Jo, then Romee, Sara. Lais has received temporary attention because of her recent promotional work and that she's having the FB, but the Chinese fans are quite in love with the first three.

As I said, I don’t think they will be both at the show. Most likely Taylor bc she makes the most sense. However I am hoping it will be someone new.

Liu is the biggest name there is in China alone in the modeling industry. If Gisele, Tyra, Naomi were the supermodels of the West, Liu, Du Juan and Sun Fei Fei were the supermodels of the east. Liu's face is everywhere you go and she's still a fashion icon in China. I think people like and recognize her so easily because she's a representation how ethnic Chinese people can look and seeing her walk in HF and VSFS is a huge barrier smash(?) to the beauty standards in fashion. But she's got the largest hate group in China for not being ethnic looking enough and is sometimes seen as the nepo girl for the reason that VS dotes on her. Her nickname has always been "VS' favorite (asian) daughter". The fact that she strayed away from HF and has not been consistent with it has sort of cemented her as just another face in the modeling industry that gets a free pass during VS casting and the only thing that keeps her name afloat is because 4 million followers talk about on her social media. Ming is on the steady rise to being a supermodel but I think she hasn't proven herself enough yet. People are on the fence with her but the western audience seems to love her a lot.

 

The rest can pretty much fuck off. Xiao, Estelle & Xin Xie are nobodies in the game. TL;DR, Liu is famous, everyone else is not. So yes, nobody gives two shits about the rest but Liu. 

 

I wasn’t saying Liu Wen isn’t popular at all in China.People know who she is especially Hunan  However to say she is comparable to Gisele in Brazil is inaccurate. The average person in Brazil knows who Gisele is but the average person in China would not know who Liu Wen is. On the grand scheme of overall popularity in China, and its special territories/regions,  she is not up there on the list. That is not to say she has no merit at all. Of all the current Asian models she is definitely the one who is the most popular and well-known. She is also one of the first mainstream Chinese models to shatter the West’s stereotype of a typical Asian beauty

I'm rewatching the 2014 show and I forgot how SNATCHED Lily Aldridge was. That was her year. She had the walk, the look, the fierce poses especially the one with the powder puff wings

Yeah Lily was amazing in 2013-2014. It’s a shame because her walk had improved and her posing and then 2015-2016 it was like 2012 all over again. I love Lily though

How about Jackson Wang as the Asian performer? He's from K-Pop's GOT7 group and he's from HongKong. 

He was recently at MTV EMA and was trending on twitter as the hot Asian guy. He's also popular in China.

Best first impression for me will always be Ming, as much as I dislike her. 2013-2014, she was an underdog who stole the show. And she looks a bit like Tao Okamoto. Loved her then but she rose too fast in the VS ranks. Nobody threatens my sweet Sui and gets away with it
