Well I'm not brazilian, i don't know crap about portuguese & i have problems understanding her english sometimes, a lot of people in the forum (lot of them are english speakers) have said that too. Like i said, she does not have the same strong accent in spanish so obviously the problem is with the english.

& I'm sorry but Dri has been living in the US for way too long & her accent is still the same as it was 10 years ago so i do believe the accent holds her back a lot, after being this long being an ambassador for the brand that gets more publicity all-year-long in the US she should speak english like a pro. I love love love Adriana, but her accent it's a huge deal IMO, she should be hosting the show by now & going to all the big Late Night Shows, yet she only does Good Morning America, The Today Show & that stuff, while Miranda & Alessandra go to Chelsea Lately

I'll say again: She's been in the US for 10+ years, if she didn't lose the accent by now & don't think she'll lose it now. She should've taken those accent elimination classes years ago. She'd be amazing doing big interviews, like ParadiseAngel said she has the personality and charisma for it but the accent it's a big thing when you're on national Tv, specially with people like Chelsea Handler or David Letterman who love to make fun of everything

Side note: Wouldn't be awesome to hear a conversation between Marko & Adriana? I wonder how on earth they communicate with all those accents

Vs models haven't started doing Chelsea lately til this year though. If you really think they choose this stuff based off of accents why havent we seen Candice or doutzen who have very good English on those shows also. Or Lilly or Erin.

Miranda did Chelsea Lately last year & Alessandra is going this year. The reason why Erin & Candice can't go to big Tv shows it's because they're not famous enough, who would tune to a channel to see a girl you don't know who it is?

Say whatever you want but there's a reason why Adriana doesn't do half as PR as Heidi or Gisele did while having the exact same position she has right now in VS. She's great with the fans & she gets those events full of people, she should be the one we see in all the talk shows, but she's not.

I thought she was cute at the jimmy interview, and according to the comments I read online, most people thought so too. One of the VS videos last year when she said she wanted to get rid of her accent, people said it's one of the things they liked about her.

I don't think the problem is her accent at all. Penelope Cruz and a few other actressed have heavy accents but they're doing interviews and landing roles.I think overall, her English isn't that good. But I understand her perfectly. Acting isn't a live performance though. And the words you speak are not yours. Plus you always have time to practice your lines. I doubt Adriana wouldn't be able to do word-for-word. And she's done lots of TV interviews for VS as far as I can remember. Or are the late night shows more special/relevant? just asking

I love Adriana's accent and i dont have any problems with understanding her. Her accent is lovely in my opinion.

The VS girls are way more famous than your average model. They're celebrities in the industry. Far from being household names like say Tyra, but people definitely know them. People can identify them.

In the current rooster, Adriana is Queen. She's more exposed to people than the others. You don't 2 GQ covers (one of them being the highest selling of the magazine ever) and 3 super bowl commercials, appearance in popular tv series', etc etc if you're not exposed to the public to some extent. Miranda is also making it happen. I mean, famewhoring pays off (look at the Kardashians). For Ale, I just think people don't take her seriously, because Lawd knows she tries.

The rest are also quite known but not as the above mentioned.

The millions of people who watch the show year after year may pick up the names of some of the angels. If they don't, then they probably have brain damage or amnesia.

I do believe that someone may be in the spotlight in full force for sometime and then have a faded star afterward. Someone like Paris Hilton. She was one of the biggest celebrities in the early/mid 2000s. But today, you rarely here anything about her. That doesn't mean she still doesn't have a loaded bank account. Because she's running a successful business. Now, from 2005 to now, how many people are now interested in pop culture that haven't been exposed to paris? How many kids grew up and now follows the industry that don't hear her name? I think Gisele is in the Paris situation. You are likely to come across Miranda or Adriana's name than hers today.

This is just my opinion though. You can visit each of their wikipedia pages or Ask Men profiles or anywhere else to make your own judgement.

I'm sorry but Gisele is the only one everyone & their mammas in the US know, might be because she is 'the last supermodel', might be because she is married to the most popular football player, whatever the reason is Gisele is more popular & while not everyone knows her at least they know who she is. Gisele says anything & it goes to the news, she's the only relevant model for average people right now

Followed by Adriana, who is not as big as Gisele but people do know her name & can recognize her face, mostly because while she doesn't work as much as Gisele when she does something, it's something big like the two Super Bowl commercials. Then there's Miranda but she is known as 'Bloom's wife', i think she & Ale are right in the same level when it comes to popularity

Also, everyone needs to watch out, wanna know who's making it happen? Kate Upton is making it happen, girlfriend is more popular than all the VS girls together these days.
