When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

WTF??? What an asshole. Never got into the hype, have read some things that made me think he might be full of it but I never thought that he’d be that bad!

I think it's the nature of the industry rather than the fault of the models themselves. I still find beautiful women but most of the new models that appear are very dull. I haven't even bother looking at fashion week for the past two seasons because I've been disappointed at the new girls for the past three years.

Of note is how a lot of 'luxury' brands have moved down market (lower prices, higher volume, international distribution) since the 1980s. There's less elitism, less personality/uniqueness and more conformity/more populism. This should have an effect on the modeling industry.

On a positive note, there seems to be more models working than before but with much higher turnover.
