Stormbringer Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Great performance by Sir Elton John! Quote
PinkCouture Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 ^ His intro was a bit odd, but I agree the performance was fabulous Quote
Stormbringer Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I missed the intro... because of washing the dishes But I saw almost all the performance. Such an amazing and powerful voice he still has! Quote
PinkCouture Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 ^ He is definitely an icon that has set the bar very high for today's musical artists Quote
PinkCouture Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 ^ HEHEHEH...yes. As much of a great singer Carrie is, I didn't think she did the song justice --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kinda disappointed none of these actors won their category: Johnathan Bank, Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston and Kevin Spacey Quote
Stormbringer Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Thinking the same about her version. I think the interpretation was a bit exaggerated. But well, it's always nice anyway to hear a Beatles song in this context at least. Quote
Clauds Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 This has to be the most boring Award show I've seen in years to be honest. The only reason I kept watching was because I really wanted to see how Behind The Candelabra would do, but I feel like I waster three precious hours on this. Just the fact that they lasted three hours is ridiculous, I felt like I was in the couch for two days. Also I am so over Sofía Vergara always losing O.o ... Seriously? She & Kaley Cuoco are so underrated by the Academy, it's so absurd. I am happy Kim Parsons won though, his portrayal of Sheldon will be remembered forever (Y) Quote

jkjk Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 @peroxideblonde Thinks Emmy Rossum was overlooked in the nominations again this year. I felt like Tatiana Maslany should have gotten a nomination again, but since she won last year, I can't really complain. Are there any other actors or shows that should have been nominated? Quote
gotportugal Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Not this year, but Alfie Allen does an amazing job portraying Theon Greyjoy. Also, Lena Headey deserves an award already! HBO's brand is so strong that even without 22+ nomination, they manage to go 100+ nominations Quote
jkjk Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Most nominations this year by network (not including technical awards): - HBO - 46 - FX - 27 - Netflix - 27 - NBC - 17 - ABC - 11 Quote
