Unfortunately I missed 2 of the segments and overall  the editing is too uneven and rushed.   But there are ways of getting around it...watch intently and with a positive attitude! The makeup and colors of the outfits work better in live action than in stills so there's added value.   Most of the girls like Sui He, Behati, Sigrid Agren, Barbara F. are much more splendid in motion than in stills.

 

 Anyway, I'm sure you'd like it. 

 

 

Yes having seen all the photos, it's like you see the 'perfect' show in your mind. Pink aside, loved this year's outfits and themes. Music I'm not fussed about, so it's more like how they've edited it and I'm hoping it's not as choppy as last year (where you barely got to see uninterrupted shots of the models walking the runway).

I like Candice so much, but VS should never let her open the show again...ever. I was thinking she is just going to walk down off the runway and keep walking outside of the building. She looked so scared, I don't know...

Ale and Lindsay were less featured than non-angels.

Behati,Adriana and Lily were the stars of the show.

Loved the music, the editing was so-so, loved the outfits in motion. 

I liked the show and I think its the best one they had for a while now.

Music was much better than I expected. I actually liked Shipwrecked (though I think they should have put Erin in there). I didn't like Taylor's performances, but I was surprised that it came together a little better with some editing.

The opening was pitiful and they should have opened with Parisian Nights.

Segments were surprising. I liked that they put, for the most part, equal attention on the angels. Didn't see much of Alessandra, Lindsay and Doutzen so I think that's a little bit of a sign. Wouldn't be surprised to see them all leaving in 2014 (for Ale and Lindsay, I think it's time to go, but I love Doutzen ).

 

Still not a great show though--not a lot of energy on either the 'sexy' or the 'fun' side. Felt a little boring. I give it a 5/10

 

 

There were parts of the show where I would literally forget Alessandra & Lindsay were there at all. And at least Alessandra got more love in the commercial, Lindsay got fucked as well as Gracie but Gracie was to be expected

 

And now we know why Lais & Candice were priority during Backstage: They had segments so they needed to be done earlier, while Barbara had a segment too, it was all featuring old stuff from the fittings so there was no rush for her to be ready

I actually liked the social media segment. It was fun and fresh! It was great to hear the girls talk about how they like to connect via the internet. I'm gonna rewatch the show and then post my opinions. As of now, I still think 2012 was better. 

The show was just MEH for me.

why everybody says that we didnt see that much of Doutzen ? i mean She opened shipwrecked and looked gorgoeus... plus in Parisian nights She was ON FIRE seriously.

I'm a first time poster here but I do have to say I really did enjoy the show this year and this is coming from someone whose been watching since 2003 with Heidi, Tyra, Gisele and all of the other greats and originals around, on that note the show doesn't compare to shows like the 2005 one which is a personal favorite of mine but I do think for first time viewers and not seasoned veterans to watching the show I think it was done very well, I laughed a little I almost even cried a little during some of the more serious scenes overall I think it was a great show, I liked the Deserted Island scene Behati and Adriana were hilarious with Adriana looking all serious saying "I'll bring a knife" and then asking Behati about the fire and Behati saying "I can make a fire I'm from Africa!" I'm looking forward to rewatching it a couple times when it comes online and having friends over on the weekend and rewatching with them too. All in all, the show wasn't amazing but it was good especially from a first time watchers point, Pink outfits were horrid but it also had some of the best energy in the show, this is purely my opinion on the show and hope people share some of my opinions. Lily really owned the show this year, my favorite segments had to be Ship Wrecked and Parisian Nights, Barbara has been one of my new favorites since last year and she looked great this year, it's unfortunate that we still saw Hilary's blue hands and Magda's stain but everyone I spoke to couldn't spot it though which is great because I'm always rooting for my fellow polish girls. Still hoping that next year's show does include better music though, missing all of the cool remixes they used to have anything like 2005's opener with Tchaikovsky & Body Rockers would be amazing.  

Was not a fan.  The words tacky and obnoxious come to mind - the show was not sensual, sexy, or sophisticated, IMO.  Oh, and Neon Trees was just awful and out-of-place.

 

 

Regarding Magda....you guys were looking out for that?  How did you know it would be there?  That's so embarrassing for her!

Raffy - I agree that 2005 was the best (also liked 2006) and I miss the cool remixes, too! Parisian Nights was my favorite segment.

@Alexandra23 yes Gisele opening 2005 was powerful I wish Candice took some inspiration from her now that was a walk down the runway I'll never forget, that's how you show off the Fantasy Bra! 

Ok every year people say I wish it was like 2005. Guys it's never going to be like that again. That was 8 years ago now. The way things are done now are just different to back then. So there's no point in getting your hopes up that it will ever be on the same level as 05. Cause it won't. So just take what you got. There could not be a VS show each year and people would be pissed off. Even if we get crappy shows at least we get them. From what i've seen its better than last year. But each year now really one isn't better than the other. They are all kind of the same. 2010-2013 so far have been very similar in the layout of the show. 2009 still is the worst show they ever put out. So nothing has dethroned that year so far.

I didn't like the black eyed peas but other than that it was a pretty good show for me. I don't really have a least favorite show I think they all have at least one or two segments that are really well done that just stick in my head. 

Everybody saw in the opening segment Cara squeeze Taylor swift ass ??, she almost scream haha seriously .

If you compare this to 2003-2006, sure it sucked and there's a thousand things I could say for that, but let's face it: It will never be like that again, as much as we want it, it won't happen. I'm the first one to say I miss the old times, but at this point it's pretty obvious that VS is going for a different thing right now and the only bridge left between those years and 2013 are Adriana & Alessandra.

 

Now, compared this to what we've got in 2009-2012 and it was actually pretty good. There's room for improvement of course, but I feel like a lot of things were better: the outfits, the editing, more focus on the models and less on the performers, etc. I think this was a step in the right direction.

I wasn't a big fan of the model search even when they did it back in 2007 with the Katie girl, especially with how it backfired on them with the winner finding Jesus and attacking the company lol, Enchanted Forest and Romantic Journey weren't that bad either but the show was very monotonous there wasn't much of a difference between outfits.

Definitely saw a lot of Sara Sampaio's and Elsa Hosk's butts but they cut out Izabel's pose in Parisian Nights which was kind of a let down.

To meConstance and Lily D were the absolute best...they were AMAZING !!!!

Lily's British Invasion outfit was equally  sexy,sleek,fun and cute all at the same time..VS putting their own  sexy spin  on the British Upper Class  set  mixed with  movie musiclas like Mary Poppins ...not overdone...just right...Jourdan Dunn's Red outfit was nice too....

Constance looked AMAZING in Snow Angels...I didn't like her in Ship Wrecked but damn (although her outfit with those funny little alls/bubbles looked only OK in pictures while still  on the rack, on her in motion it looked so beautiful)Constance looked so good....Constance ,Lily D and Maryna were the best in Snow Angels...the whole show actually....

 

Sara Sampaio looked SO nervous..for a split second the camera showed her knees literally buckling  on the runway , then they immediately cut away to  the last girl's face(  Monika "Jac" Jagaciak I thnk )and the Neon Jungle singer with the platinum blonde hair in  the pink top....good thing she pulled through ..

Pink was completely all over the place but Elsa totally rocked it...I am glad it was Elsa and not Lais who received a  name credit....she deserves it....I am one who actually hopes that  she continues to work with VS Pink and not mainline....she is better than Behati for Pink and without her Pink would be a disaster.....esp with their current roster...

Snow Angels was boring but beautiful....the outfits were almost identical ..nothing stood out ...pretty sure at least  Lily A,Lily D Adriana and Maryna wore the same bra (the white bra  with the crystal like sequins scattered on it ...the same one Barbara P wore on the VS Catalogue cover)... the song choice was horrible...if it had to be Taylor for the closing segment  then at least go with Back to December with all the snow and the winter theme  or maybe Love Story...it needed something romantic and slow.....

 

Can't belive that  VS  didn't even bother to edit Hilary Rhoda's sickly,scrawny  BLUE hands( she looked so thin and gaunt ) or  Magdalena's bloody panty....they take so much trouble to edit the random butt shot but the noticeable stain was OK....it stood out esp next to her white cape...most of the ladies in our small group  picked it out( I didn't even warn them in advance) and we had our private giggle later ...the poor guys were clueless....

I REALLY missed not  seeing  Barbara P,Miranda ,Shanina , Frida and  Bregje .I think Bregje has one of THE best bodies in the industry ,VS or otherwise and not casting her was a crime (we def saw her pic with the ther other models during casting )..WTF were they thinking...they should just fire the entire casting panel and hire a new group  along with a new designer for Pink....and I wish someone had whispered  a really filthy joke in Erin's ear  just before she stepped onto  that sparkly  runway cos girl  didn't crack  a single smile..
