Michael* Posted May 16, 2013 Author Share Posted May 16, 2013 Had a blast. It's unapologetically big and very blockbustery, but it's also tremendous fun from start to finish. While Quinto was quietly excellent as Spock, Simon Pegg was actually my favourite; I thought he gave a superb performance and that's speaking as someone who wasn't totally convinced by him first time around. And Cumberbatch of course was fantastic. It's always nice when you have a villain who can switch between brain and brawn at the drop of a hat, and I was completely drawn in whenever he was on screen.
