Surely, one of the most influentiaul ways of getting/showing a product is through magazine campaigns and advetising, what ive wondered for some time now is why VS only do commercia;ls and have their own brochure, why do they not make ad's and pay magazines to include them?

I see Victoria's Secret ads for perfumes and bras in magazines. Not a lot but it's there. Plus, VS has it's own catalogue.

What magazines have you been reading?

Well I guess the ads may appear in American mags, as VS has the majoriy of their stores in the US, right?

Also, I'm not sure but I think the company that owns VS has some other lingerie brand, so maybe the other one has more ads in mags, while VS is mostly adverised by the show and "Angel events".

They advertise on the women who buy the products and the lucky men who get to see their women in it, who tell their male friends, who tell their women etc.. :p

They have ads in American fashion magazines like Vogue and ELLE and tabloids like US and People. But they do not print them internationally as VS is only sold in America.

They definitely do though i only ever recall seeing 2. The last one i saw featured Alessandro Ambrosio on the beach in US Vogue with Michelle Obama on the cover

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I live in England but am addicted to magazines and i buy the US versions of Elle,Glamour,Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar Monthly, and i have never seen an ad for them. And those of you who have said you've seen one, have only seen a couple , what i don't understand is why they don't advertise more in mainstream magazines? ye they have their own catalogue, but so do many other clothing stores yet they still advertise their productsin magazines...example: NEXT. the british store , has a catalogue && directory , but are always featured in mags.
