May 7, 20196 yr it's not the most flattering dress, plus as far as the theme goes, doesn't hit the nail on the head either. I'm a wee bit disappointed tbh, she could've done much much better
May 7, 20196 yr I liked it. She looked beautiful and on theme (just not obviously on theme). Could she have risked more? Yes. But for a debut I think she did well.
May 7, 20196 yr she looked amazing but i don't think she followed the theme. she wore something that could wear at any other event. camp is supposed to be ironic, funny, dramatic (from what i read)... and she wasn't any of those
May 7, 20196 yr There are elements of camp in her look. People often confuse camp with tacky and that’s only one potential aspect of the theme. The lashes, the hair, the structure of the dress and being covered in jewels are all extra and on theme. Camp can be a chandelier dress or hamburger outfit or eleganza extravaganza.

May 7, 20196 yr idk, i think she was campy in a very subtle way. josephine was way better imo and it was also her first met gala (again, sara looked amazing)
May 7, 20196 yr Yeah her look is definitely more subtle than a lot of the others and I would’ve loved if she were put into something that really leaned into the theme but I’m glad it wasn’t just a slinky dress seen at every other event.
May 7, 20196 yr I think people forget that they go with designers, so designers have a lot to say on what they wear... specially being her first met gala, I’m sure she doesn’t have much saying on what she wears.. from August Getty collection this was probably the most campy... also by her tweets looks like she only found out she was going on Friday. So no time for customs dresses unfortunately. I think she looked beautiful and did camp subtle but was still there, and she also kept true to herself and that’s also what camp is. Also her glam was perfection
