The US Army has only proven to be good at warfare against conventional forces (citizen armies set up by "civilized" societies that share a lot of Western values), and not irregular warfare against fanatical terriorists/partisans/communist revolutionaries & convert foreign societies to western values. 

 

Conventional combat is where American advantages in material resources and organization can be exploited to the fullest.  Citizen soldiers are not fanatics, they want to survive and they surrender once their combat systems dissolve like the German Army in 44-45.

 

eg. The army can defeat the conventional Iraqi forces in a quick sweep but fail in the occupation.  And fail in Afganistan, just like the Soviets before them.

Yes, I agree with all this.

 

There's another factor though: their spirit has been curtailed over the past decades. It started with Bush and his gigantic lie about WMD. Now it's the woke steamroller and its obsession with nail polish, ekwality or the "78 genders".

 

All these soldiers who gave their lives did it to defend their brothers and sisters, and also an ideal of freedom. How many people will fight to defend the 78 gender theory? My guess is: not many.

We are seeing a very slow turning of the moderates and left lately. More and more people are saying they are done with the BS (it's happening in California big time right). I've got friends who are 25+ years voting for straight Dem who are now saying "wtf did we do"... and "Trump was right", and are voting for MAGA now, but as long as the mainstream media continues to lie and spread misinformation we have a big uphill battle, but that's never stopped Patriotic Americans. We are special breed in our own right. We'll fight like hell and patriots won't stop till we see change, good change.
