Lovely. Wish these were actual scans - the Gail Elliott Shots too.

Have you ever heard about the hair-dryer technique posted on TFS?

Thanks again,

I think the fashion world would erupt like a volcano if Yasmeen were to suddenly reappear again on the scene.  I, for one, would absolutely LOVE this!  :wub2:

Yes she was such a nice and beautiful model. It would be interesting how she looks in our days? she was the most sexy exotic looking model at catwalk. Another great and different beauty among the others. Every topmodel had his onwn looking. The blonde bombshell Claudia, the all American girl Cindy. The Chamöleon Linda and the beautiful long brown haired Helena and the exotic Yasmeen with this great body and walk. They were all so different. Would be great to see Yasmeen back.

What is she doing? Does anybody know? I wonder when she dissappeared from szene. Don´t remember.

She got married, had kids, and retired from the fashion scene. In short, got on with living real life, and good for her.

If I remember correct, there were rumors a couple years back that she might become a host for the Canadian version of "Project Runway" or some other fashion-themed TV show, but nothing came of it.

I admire her decisions. I don't want to see her return at all. I'm more than happy to remember her the way she was.

Fumi, I agree with you. Yasmeen hasn't been a working model in about 16 years, and today's fashion scene is merely a shell of what it used to be during Yasmeen's heyday. So, I don't really see much reason for her to come back. It's best to just remember her as she was in her glory years. Though it would be nice to see candid shots of her at public functions.

sorry if this is a repost

Thanks for that. I thought I'd thoroughly combed through YouTube for Yasmeen videos so I don't know how I missed that one.

In interviews I've seen on YouTube over the years, she always seemed to come across as a very level-headed person who understood the world of modelling and used it to her own ends, knowing when her time was up. Even in her early interviews when she had just started, she seemed under no illusion that beauty is a transient, fleeting thing.

Lots of the 90s supermodels that still appear on covers occasionally are always air-brushed and photoshopped heavily. It's only when you see candids of them in everyday life that you realise that their beauty has mostly gone now.

Yasmeen gave everything when she had it but also was wise enough to know when her time was done. Very smart woman.

one more, 1992, but don't know what this is for either

That's Chloe by Martine Sitbon, S/S 1992.

thanks, she looks fiece there..... any idea of the first outfit? looks a bit like Montana, but that could be easily mistaken

For some reason I think it's from an Italian designer. I recall that some of the Italian fashion shows had stark white runways. But, I really have no idea who it might be.
