Shouldn't let this thread sink.

Sticky rice rolls (Traditional ShangHai snack, they usually eat it during breakfast with soymilk, YUM!)

I always make it, it's very simple :)

I've never tasted that in Shanghai

How do you make it ? :)

What? You've been to ShangHai? :woot: :woot: :woot:

OMG, shame on myself, I really want to go there mainly because of FOOD

well, this is my own recipe, not the traditional one but very easy ;)

Firstly, you should get a rice cooker :p

Ingredients:

1) Glutinous rice and White rice (Ratio = 1:1, if you like softer texture, add more glutinous rice)

2) Tianjin preserved vegetable

3) Dried radish (Takuan)

4) Pork rousong

5) Pork mince

Procedure:

1) Clean the rice and cook it with rice cooker

2) Dice Dried radish

3) Stir fry Tianjin preserved vegetable and dried radish dice

4) Stir fry pork mince

5) When the rice is cooked, put fried pork, Tianjin preserved vegetable, dried radish dice and Pork rousong into the rice and mix it thoroughly.

6) Roll it to any shape you like :D

I ashamedly admit it I do love cooking very much and quite good at it! :D

Edit:

Unlike sushi, they will put some vinegar into sushi rice and they use Japanese rice while Sticky rice roll is made with White rice and Glutinous rice :)
