Welcome to the insanity that is Barbara's thread. And a heartfelt welcome to BZ in general. I liked that she walked Chanel Resort. Her career is not what her fans would want, that's true. I for one think maybe she's a bit burned out? She's been modelling since she was 13. That is a very long time to be modeling. And at an insane age to start at. I'm surprised that she hasn't gone off the deep end mentally. On the subject of our beloved BP, I really like the new shares. Thank you for them. I disagree...Yes , she was discovered on the streets of Budapest by her agents Balazs and Vince Barati when she was just 13 but she barely had a modelling career until she signed with IMG and stared her catwalk career at late 16/17 in 2010 when she was a Prada Exclusive for Milan Fashion Week ...Until then she did the odd magazine cover/editorial in Japan but it was nothing serious...hardly....her career really kicked into high gear around 2011/2012 so this burning out/missing out on her childhood and now she is lashing out theory doesn't make much sense...she had a normal upbringing...attended high school in Budapest and graduated...she even attended a Gymnasium (school) in Hungary... A gymnasium is a type of school with a strong emphasis on academic learning, and providing advanced secondary education in some parts of Europe and the CIS, comparable to British grammar schools, sixth form colleges and U.S. preparatory high schools. In its current meaning, it usually refers to secondary schools focused on preparing students to enter a university for advanced academic study. 17 Moments of Spring Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 Since the age of 13, she spend the summer holidays abroad doing modeling works in Asia. 16 is the age when law permits to do modeling jobs in the main fashion countries of Europe. So from the beginning of 2010 (at the age of 16) she started doing modeling full time. From that time she rarely attended gymnasium (only when she was at home), and has had to learn everything by herself, simultaneously with modeling. She had to take an exam in every subject at the end of the semesters (the normal students don't have to do that).
