Nice quote from Kate Winslet about Leo's while shooting Titanic:

They did take the work seriously, though. DiCaprio’s working style was new to Winslet. “He’d just say, ‘Hey, let’s not talk about it, let’s just do it.’ That was rather daunting, because I’d think, ‘Oh shit, what’s he going to do?’ After we did a take that was absolutely fine of the scene late in the movie where we run through the ship toward each other and end up in this big hug, saying, ‘I couldn’t leave you, I couldn’t go without you,’ Leo said to Jim, ‘Hey, can we just have one for the actors?’ Jim said yes. I had no idea what Leo was going to do. It was so weird how he just got hold of me and lifted me up in a violently emotional way. I could do nothing except give it back. That’s the take that made it into the movie.”

thanks to leonardofan.uk for the find.

When I saw the headline on google I was like YES new pics... then I realized it's just the same old ones :(

Actually in the last few hours more media outlets like Radar, Daily mail and OK magazine have reported on Erin and Leo, so now the news seems to be making the rounds more :)

yeah, it's like they were waiting to see who's the blonde girl and now that they know it's Erin they started to post articles and that pics. I wish to see new pics of them soon, hopefully.

Leo just seems to get the best of the best. For someone who likes his models... You can't get much higher than a Victoria's secret Angel. I don't even necessarily see it as him being superficial. He's in a position where he has a ton of dating options, so among the "beautiful people" he's more than able to find those who have great personalities as well. That's an ideal situation for most I'd say. Moreover, In Erin's case she seems to be a pleasant, engaging woman and in addition to that she's a self-described bit of a Tomboy. She used to play on a basketball team in highschool. :)

According to Daily Telegrah article below, due to Baz's injury, the filming wrapped up sooner than expected, so, Leo flew home Thursday , and he should be home as I type , or at least somewhere with Erin :p

Lights, camera, ouch: Luhrmann accident halts Gatsby filming

Filmmaker Baz Luhrmann is nursing a sore head after a mishap on the set of his latest movie, The Great Gatsby.

The director required three stitches to his head after bumping into a camera crane.

Luhrmann, the maker of hit movies Strictly Ballroom, Moulin Rouge and Australia, was directing a scene at the time.

His injury forced an early end to the Sydney filming of The Great Gatsby, which has an international cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan.

A co-producer, Anton Monsted, said: ''We were on quite a cramped set and he was ducking under the crane. He struck his head on the weights on the end of the camera crane. He split open his head and we had to get the doctor.''

Monsted said the producers decided to stop filming and allow the cast and crew to get home for Christmas a day earlier than planned.

They will return for additional shots in the new year.

''There's a few days owing due to rain and then there will also be what we would have shot … had we continued filming after Baz's injury,'' Monsted said.

The adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's famous novel, set in New York in the 1920s, has been shot at Fox Studios and locations around Sydney, including the International College of Management, formerly St Patrick's College, at Manly, for 83 days.

Despite Luhrmann's injury, Monsted said the crew finished the year on ''a big high''. ''Filming has gone extremely well. The only obstacle we've really faced has been bad weather.''

Rain particularly affected scenes due to be shot on a property at Mount Wilson in the Blue Mountains that was doubling for Long Island.

''Where we were filming was on heritage-protected land and we were very mindful to leave these beautiful properties as we found them,'' Monsted said.

From Sydney Herald an article mentioning all the A list stars that have left Sydney, and that Leo and others have flown home

IT HAS long been a Christmas tradition in Sydney that a throng of celebrity faces flock to these shores for the festive season. But something peculiar is happening this year, with A-list names leaving while a surge of B-listers arrive en masse.

The $59-billion man, Bill Gates, remains sunning - well, whenever the sun does shine - himself with his family by the harbour, but this year Sydney is bereft of mega-watt names, with an exodus of stars from The Great Gatsby set including Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. Baz Luhrmann, suffering a sore head following an on-set accident, and his wife, Catherine Martin, gave the stars an extra day to flee Sydney, creating a celebrity log jam at Sydney Airport yesterday.

And a 3rd article mentioning Gatsby filming has ended , and Leo has returned home :)

FILMING has finally ended on Baz Luhrmann's ambitious 3D remake of The Great Gatsby, bringing to an end several months of heavy-duty star spotting around Sydney - most notably of media-shy star Leonardo DiCaprio, who was seen boarding a flight to Los Angeles.

It's understood Luhrmann called time on filming a day early after injuring himself colliding with a crane on set.

The director was forced to consult a doctor on Thursday after banging his head on equipment, which resulted in a few stitches - a painful end to a shoot that has otherwise captivated Sydneysiders.

Almost 12 months of post-production is now under way, with Luhrmann and Warner Bros clearly anticipating a box office smash given the release date is slated for December 26 next year - the biggest movie-going day of the year - which falls in the thick of awards season lobbying.

So how will the adaptation - the third film version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's highly acclaimed and much loved 1925 novel - fare?

Early images show that the film will be jam-packed with all of Luhrmann's signature touches; lush scenery, elaborate costumes, lavish sets and period-appropriate props.

However with Luhrmann's past effort Australia generally regarded as a lesson in "style-over-substance" filmmaking, critics will no doubt be casting a particularly sharp gaze over what is already a super-hyped and hugely anticipated flick.

I agree. He can choose to date beautiful women and why wouldn't he?? Hes in a position millions of men wish they were in. And like you said, he is very able to pick the ones who are not only beautiful, but seem to have great personalities as well. And with her used to playing basketball, I am looking forward to lakers games :p

Thanks Ox for the article!! So yes it seems leo should be back in the states now :) Cant wait to see some pics or sightings!

Thanks for Just Jared link :)

My thoughts as well, I couldn't believe when I opened the JJ link that he was just now posting the Leo/Erin pix from the park on Dec 14

Odd since Pop Sugar immediately had the pix posted the same day that Leo received a GG nod

Also , I agree with your sentiments below :)

What the line below means , is that Kate & Leo had done the scene the way that James Cameron wanted it done. Then Leo asked could they do one take the way they would like to do the scene ( one for the actors ) , and the way Leo wanted to do it came across so great, that Cameron used that take instead :)

Hey, can we just have one for the actors?"
