March 5, 20232 yr @Lilja Kis it even possible to turn such books into movies? Those plots (if you even can call it a plot) sound highly complicated/escalating to me. Maybe it would better work as tv show with multiple episodes for all the different storylines.

I believe that with high professionalism and a huge budget this is possible. PTA at least already has experience with Pynchon's material (Inherent Vice), although I won't be able to say my opinion on this because I haven't seen the movie or read the book.Â
March 5, 20232 yr ^Sounds like a complicated/expensive project with hella loooooong process to realize. I don't think it will ever happen with Leo in front of a camera. I also think no one in Hollywood would ever give PTA a high budget unless someone want loose money lol

Still, I'll hope till definitive confirmation.
March 5, 20232 yr At this point I almost don't care what kind of movie Leo does next. He just needs to start something. Give me at least one Leo movie a year and I'm happy. Leo needs to start soon or we won't have anything in 2024. Although not everyone needs as much time in post production as Marty. I just can't wait for KOTFM...
March 5, 20232 yr He has so far only made three films in his 40’s. Compared to his peers that’s not many at all! (Joaquin Phoenix seems to work all the time!) I’d love to see him do a few more in his 40’s.
March 5, 20232 yr ^I think he will probably do one more movie before his 40s end. If we're lucky.  But I would love to be wrong!! Â

March 5, 20232 yr Wonder if Leo is going to be coming back to the states for all the Oscar’s parties and stuff.
March 5, 20232 yr I don't understand that PTA possible new project nor his other movies, lol, so I would prefer Billy Summers by far. Though like others here, I would watch anything with Leo at this point too.Â

His real passion is nature , friends, parties, investments, and beautiful ladies. He looked bored in the interviews of (don't look Up ) and ( once upon a time) so it seems that he lost his passion for acting.. Maybe, I don'tknow!  *middle age crisis*

Maybe, I don'tknow!  *middle age crisis* Maybe he's just tired of the "consequences" of fame? He wanted to be an actor, not a celebrity. But as we know, one is impossible without the other.  Spoiler I think these lines from an Eminem's song The Monster hit the bull's-eye on Leo's situation  I wanted the fame but not the cover of Newsweek Oh well, guess beggars can't be choosey Wanted to receive attention for my music Wanted to be left alone in public, excuse me For wantin' my cake, and eat it too, and wantin' it both ways Â
