palmina thanks for that amazing news! I've just read it on leofan.com

I always love to hear about these two men projects,Scorsese & DiCaprio together is like bomb :D very talented people

and check out Scorsese's IMDb page, there is written about Sinatra, well there's no cast, but I'm sure Leo will play Sinatra

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000217/

remember that after Shutter Island realize, there were talk about Scorsese upcoming project about Frank Sinatra, and Martin wanted Leo to play the main role, that's why I suppose he will play Sinatra  as IMDb says film will be realized in 2013,that means we'll have so many Leo films to watch.

in the begining of 2012 we'll see J.Edgar, then Titanic 3D version, then Scorsese Leo new film and in 2013 hope to see Leo as Sinatra in Scorsese film again

but I'm sure this is just the drop in the ocean, cuz Leo has so many other projects to do and I'm very glad about him :)

can't wait !

Thanks everybody for the news!! Leo and Martin are the best, and they are so talented, and they make really excellent movies. Even if I wasn't a fan of Leo, I would still love all his Leo-Martin movies.

This project sounds so interesting, and its been swirling around for a while now.

I am very excited for this!!

Leo starts filming the Great Gatsby this summer, then I would assume he would staring shooting "wolf on wall stree" after that. 2011, will be a very busy filming year for Leo!!

More info on The Wolf of Wall Street

It’s official: Martin Scorsese has signed on to direct The Wolf of Wall Street with his go-to leading man of late, Leonardo DiCaprio. The project, which was initially set up at Warner Bros., has had a long and winding history in Hollywood, with directors jumping in and dropping out. Originally Ridley Scott was attached to direct. But then, in 2007, shortly after Scorsese won the Best Picture Oscar for The Departed, he and DiCaprio became attached. Scorsese eventually dropped out and went on to other projects, but apparently the material proved too tantalizing. Based on Jordan Belfort’s memoir, Wolf chronicles the author’s debauched, hard-partying rampage in the world of high finance during the go-go ’90s. Belfort’s law-breaking bender eventually landed him in federal prison. “They’re the ultimate dream team, and it was definitely worth the wait.” The Wolf script was adapted by Terry Winter, who recently worked with Scorsese on the HBO series Boardwalk Empire.

In the new Vanity Fair there is an article about how Entourage came to be... what's interesting is how Leo played a part in the story. I think we all knew this but Wahlberg actually discusses it in the mag... The following is from another Leo forum:

"In the magazine they have an article about Mark Wahlberg /his partner and their successful production company which has produced HBO's "Entourage/Boadwalk Empire "/etc.

In the article they have a cute photo of Wahlberg and DiCaprio I haven't seen before

They, also, talk about how "Entourage" came to be ....and how Wahlberg worked to convince Kevin C ( who he met during time he filmed "BBD" with DiCaprio) to be "E"

He thought he would be perfect since he hadreal life experience being the upfront guy in his pal Leonardo DiCaprio's real life entourage....

That he knew first hand what it was like to bask in the glow of a big star's fame

He,also, talks about the casting of Vince. That Levinson decided rather than cast a more 'street tough' guy like Mark to cast a dreamier prettier Leo type

And ...for sure...as time has gone on you can see many things Vince does that are similar to things we've read DiCaprio doing = such as last season when he went to dinosaur auction ... "

Heres a bit of book review of "The Wolf Of Wall Street"

Leo is of corse playing the main charactar, and if its anything like the book, looks like the movie will be pretty expicit.

Jordan Belfort was the king of pump-and-dumps during the 1990's, presiding over Stratton Oakmont, a real life version of Boiler Room's J.T. Marlin. He was earning millions of dollars each month, doing enormous quantities of cocaine and a drug called Quaaludes, and sleeping with dozens of prostitutes, in spite of his marriage to a beautiful and wonderful lady he calls the Duchess of Bay Ridge.

And what a reign it was. Belfort's 519-page memoir contains a seemingly infinite series of tales about drug abuse, trips to Switzerland to launder money, lurid scenes with prostitutes, and other narcotics-fueled debauchery. We get all the vivid details, including Belfort's references to his large penis -- The value The Wolf of Wall Street does have may actually be more pornographic than anything.

This woman writes this about the Wolf of Wall Street Script.

DiCaprio will play a Wall Streeter with a raging drug habit and hard partying lifestyle that ultimately brings him down. Belford spent 22 months in federal prison for stock market manipulation.

Despite the sound of that, I'm told the script is funny, dramatic and fast paced, and manages to make something of a sympathetic character out of a stockbroker who supervises a cadre of brokers who squeezed clients to buy stocks that paid off--for the brokers, who used the funds to live extravagantly until they were brought down by the feds.

The script sounds great! Looks like its going to have alot of drugs and sex in the movie, if is depicted like the book, although it is a scorcese movie, and he usually make his movies pretty provocative.

Looks like Leo is doing the Great Gatsby, and they are filming in Sydney!!

Baz Luhrmann to film Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio in Sydney

BAZ Luhrmann has signed a deal to remake one of the most iconic movies of all time, The Great Gatsby, in Sydney.

In a coup for the Australian film industry and the NSW government of Kristina Keneally, Luhrmann has brushed New York - where the classic tale is set - and will instead shoot a 3D version in NSW.

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal the State Government signed off on a production deal with Luhrmann early on Friday morning.

Luhrmann has already secured Leonardo DiCaprio to play Jay Gatsby in the F. Scott Fitzgerald story, one of the film industry's most anticipated projects.

Tobey Maguire is tipped to play young bachelor Nick Carraway, rounding out an all-star cast.

The production will provide a much-needed boost to the struggling local film industry.

It's also a gamble for Luhrmann, whose last movie, Australia, was a box-office flop internationally and who needs another hit like Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge (2001) to his name.

The Warner Bros-backed film will be produced at Sydney's Fox Studios and will be the first live-action 3D movie shot in NSW.

Filming will begin in August and last 17 weeks before 30 weeks of post-production. Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin will re-create famous New York and Long Island landmarks from the 1920s.

The tale of doomed love has been filmed six times, the most famous being the 1974 Francis Ford Coppola-penned version starring Redford and Farrow.

Mulligan, who beat Gossip Girl star Blake Lively and Amanda Seyfried for the role, burst into tears when Luhrmann phoned her and said: "Hello, Daisy Buchanan."

Before he signed a deal to bring the movie to Sydney, Luhrmann, who is in the US, had been tipped to choose New York or possibly Europe to shoot the film.

With the location set, Luhrmann will begin pre-production as early as next month.

So lets summerize this up

Such a busy movie year for Leo! I don't think Leo has EVER filmed 3 movies in one year!

Scorsese, DiCaprio reteam on 'Wall Street'

Fifth collaboration for director/thesp to come after Scorsese helms 'Silence'

Martin Scorsese is back onboard to direct "The Wolf of Wall Street," with Leonardo DiCaprio to star in the long-gestating adaptation of Jordan Belfort's memoir.

Project had been set up at Warner Bros. in May 2007 with Scorsese and DiCaprio attached a few months after "The Departed" won the Oscar for picture, but the much-in-demand director subsequently fell out. But Scorsese officially committed Wednesday to direct "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Terence Winter ("The Sopranos," "Boardwalk Empire") remains aboard to write, with Alexandra Milchan, DiCaprio's Appian Way banner and Scorsese producing.

The project will chronicle Belfort's dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life, which included drug addiction.

It's unclear whether "Wolf" is still set up at Warner Bros., where Appian Way's based. Financing details and a start date will be announced at Cannes in May.

Scorsese is currently in post- production on "Hugo Cabret" and his next film will be "Silence," based on the book by Shusaku Endo about two 17th century Portuguese missionaries who return to Japan to minister to Christians, who have been outlawed. Benicio Del Toro is starring and Graham King produces.

Belfort was indicted in 1998 for securities fraud and money laundering and spent 22 months in federal prison. He's been sober for almost 14 years and has become a motivational speakers and corporate trainer while also working with the Salvation Army and MaAfrika Tikkun.

"After almost four years in development, I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am to finally be working with Leo and Marty on this," Belfort said Wednesday. "They're the ultimate dream team, and it was definitely worth the wait."

"Wolf" marks the fifth collaboration between DiCaprio and Scorsese, who also teamed on "Gangs of New York," "Shutter Island," "The Aviator" and "The Departed."
