I finally wins points wit you in the No sighting" now with a pic :p

As the photo is a little fuzzy, I wasn't sure it was him but like is wearing that silly farmer hat , so has to be him :hehe:

From the reactions below sounds like everyone is as wild about Calvin Candie as we are :p

The first two pictures from Quentin Tarantino's new movie, Django Unchained have been revealed giving us our first official looks at Jamie Foxx as the title character and his German-born bounty hunter partner Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). But even more exciting is the above look at Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie, the proprietor of "Candyland," an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed to battle each other for sport.

The pics come from Entertainment Weekly where Foxx was asked if he felt the titular slave character would be controversial, to which he replied, "Oh, hell yeah. You kidding me?"

Check out the second pic directly below. Django Unchained hits theaters on December 25 and I really hope we get some kind of teaser really soon. This is a film I don't think even I will be able to avoid watching at least one trailer.

Stepping out of the streamlined suits that have become his de facto film wardrobe, Leonardo DiCaprio opts for something with a little more panache in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained—because the flair of a man's clothes should always match the degree to which he tortures slaves. (Esquire's Big Black Book, 2010) Entertainment Weekly snagged the above first look at DiCaprio's pointy, devilish, pointedly devilish plantation owner Calvin Candie, whose Candie Land is home to deadly gladiatorial contests between colors, just like the board game. They also got an early glimpse of Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz as, respectively, the freed slave and the German bounty hunter who liberates him, with Foxx adding some minor spoiler-y details on the plot to rescue Django's wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) that's already become familiar over months of casting reports. More importantly, the photos finally answer the question of how historically accurate Foxx's choice of firearm and holster will be, a question that has long been asked by people who are generally no fun to talk to.

Speaking of historical accuracy and how it probably won't be all that concerned with it because it's a movie, Foxx also reiterated that Tarantino's take on slavery, race relations, and other things that involve talking about black people will definitely be controversial, but adds, "There’s a beautiful way he found for the characters to talk to each other. It’s mindblowing. You’ve never heard it this way. You’ve seen movies deal with slavery—or Westerns that never dealt with slavery—do it the safe way. This way is like … wow.” Sounds like just the thing for Christmas Day.

We already know that Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" is going to be something special. Centering on slavery and vengeance, but delivering through the conventions of a spaghetti western in a way that only Tarantino knows how, there are few films this year taking as big a risk. And if these first official images from the film indicate anything, it's that the pay off could be something truly memorable.

EW has got the goods, delivering fresh images of Christoph Waltz and Jamie Foxx, as the bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz and the slave Django, respectively, who pair up to rescue the latter's wife, Broomhilda, from the clutches of the plantation owner Calvin Candie, played by a debonair-looking Leonardo DiCaprio. “Candie is a business man who owns a plantation called Candie Land, and that’s where my wife ends up being,” Foxx explains, adding that to help track down his wife, “...we have to get in good with Candy, by me playing a valet for Christoph’s character.”

“Christoph’s character is a little aloof to what slavery actually is. He’s not familiar with everything, and when he sees atrocities, it’s Greek to him,” Foxx elaborates about his onscreen partner in crime. “But Django lets him know this is the way the world is and we got to get used to it. He teaches Django certain things he needs to become a whole man, and [Django] also teaches Christoph that when life deals you these cards, here’s what you’ve got to do.”

A hammer-wielding DiCaprio? An aloof and dapper bounty hunter? Yeah, okay, we're in. "Django Unchained" opens on Christmas Day.

And Leonardo DiCaprio looks so good. So evil…but so good!

Here are the first two stills that have been released from Quentin Tarrantino's latest film, Django Unchained.

One shows Christoph Waltz's bounty hunter character with Jamie Foxx as the titular character and the second is a pic of Leo, who plays the villain.

We don't know what he's about to do with that hammer, but we have a feeling it's not for construction purposes.

If there is one thing Tarrantino is known for, it's brutal violence, so we expect to see lots of it in this movie and we're sure DiCaprio will be responsible for his fair share.

Why settle for one point , find us another picture and get even more ! :p

Like Nanda said recently, I sure hope he goes out of town this weekend as ,otherwise, pix wise the NO film locale has been a washout

damn the Django Unchained stills look awesome! I love the wardrobe! I'm still curious about how the movie will be received. The imdb page for it is a mess.. there's a lot of arguments over the racial content.

anyways, I'm glad that I find both his movies this year interesting. No offense to J Edgar but I really didn't care for that movie lol
