Cameron was expected in London fresh from the success of his latest venture. He used a specially designed submarine, called Deepsea Challenger, to dive nearly seven miles below the surface of the Pacific. He reached the ocean’s deepest point on Earth - a place where only two men had gone before - early on Sunday, local time. The descent took him to the Mariana Trench, about 200 miles south west of the Pacific island of Guam. The new Titanic release comes 15 years after the original film was a huge hit, pulling in billions at the box office and winning 11 Oscars. Winslet, who won a best actress Oscar in 2009 for The Reader, played sensitive socialite Rose DeWitt Bukater alongside Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack Dawson in the epic drama. Also god...I don't know how famous people get to used to like flying to New Orleans and then flying to Vegas for a day or so and then to NYC and then back to New Orleans and then off to London or Paris or whatever. I would be so out of it. I know they get used to it because they do it all the time for work...but god, I would so miss my home base since I'm a homebody. And I bet Leo is happy he has an actual excuse to miss promoting Titanic. Psh Leo.
