Team Requirements

Five models, all born in the same country. If you’re unsure about someone’s origin, I’ll try and verify it.

Allowed team structure:

• 1 A‑tier model

• 1 D‑tier model

Remaining positions can be B’s or C’s

I need eight high‑quality vertical photos for each model. Please choose the best images you can find. Don’t worry about resizing them.. In the past I’ve helped people search for photos, but I don’t have the time to do that atm, so use your best judgment when selecting images. After running these competitions for over twelve years, I can say that overly high fashion or editorial shots usually don’t perform as well unless they are pretty. Simpler, clean, and or objectively attractive photos tend to do better. Picture choice is extremely important, so take your time and pick images that genuinely flatter the model.

NOTE: If you send me a PM and I don’t reply right away, I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. It’s summer which means I'm miserable, work has me buried, I’m out hunting Summerween decor during my spare time, and I’m running on very little sleep thanks to double shifts. As always, everything is first‑come, first‑served. If you want to create a team and only have one or two models so far, I can hold those spots for you as long as no one else messaged me about the same model before you.

Model Overlap Rules

There could be situations where two people create very similar teams. To keep things fair while still allowing creativity:

• Up to 2 of the same models may appear on two different teams. I will let you know during team creation if there will be an overlap with your team and someone else's.

• The remaining 3 models must be different so teams aren’t identical copies.

• If two teams end up using the same model in the same matchup slot... for example, if both teams have Doutzen Kroes, then the matchup is treated as neutral. Since it’s the exact same model competing against herself, there’s no reason to vote on that match and no handicap or bonus applies. The remaining four matchups are scored normally. This keeps things fair and prevents any team from gaining an advantage simply because a popular model appears on both sides.

Handicap & Bonus System

Same-tier matchups (A vs A, B vs B, C vs C, D vs D)

No handicap, no bonus. Both models keep 100% of their score.

1‑Tier Gap (Handicap Only – 20%)

This is for matchups where the tiers are right next to each other. The higher-tier model gets a 20% reduction. The lower-tier model gets no bonus.

• A vs B → A gets −20%

• B vs C → B gets −20%

• C vs D → C gets −20%

This keeps things competitive without overcorrecting.

2‑Tier Gap (Handicap + Bonus – 30%)

Now the gap is big enough that the underdog needs help. The higher-tier model gets −30%, the lower-tier gets +30%.

• A vs C → A −30%, C +30%

• B vs D → B −30%, D +30%

This is the sweet spot where upsets become possible but not guaranteed.

3‑Tier Gap (Strong Handicap + Bonus – 40%)

This is the biggest possible gap. The higher-tier model gets −40%, the lower-tier gets +40%.

• A vs D → A −40%, D +40%

This is the only matchup where the swing is intentionally dramatic.

How Scoring Works

Voters split 5 points between the two models. Once the raw scores are totaled, the appropriate handicaps and bonuses are applied, the adjusted team totals will determine which team advances.

Names will be listed alphabetically, so make sure to check how many teams a model is already on. Each appearance in the list counts as one team slot for that model. Models are first come, first serve. If multiple people are building teams at the same time and messaging me about model choices, the person whose PM arrives first gets priority for that model.

The Rounds

We’re running a round‑robin double‑knockout competition, which keeps things fair and gives every team a real chance. Sometimes a matchup is wildly lopsided ... a massively popular model versus someone newer or less known ... and that’s exactly why the system uses Handicaps and Bonuses.

For the last eight years, I’ve tracked:

• how people vote

• long‑term popularity trends

• forum member preferences

• how each model performs year after year

All of that data is used to assign each model a Tier (A, B, C, or D). Those tiers determine the Handicaps/Bonuses, which are designed to level the playing field. A lower tier model gets a boost, and a higher tier model pays a small penalty. This prevents blowouts, keeps matchups a bit more competitive, and reflects how the community actually votes.

Every year, the handicaps and bonuses are updated based on the previous competitions... if a model over performs or under performs, their tier shifts accordingly. Nothing is static; the system evolves with how the voters vote.

How the Knockout Works

Everyone starts in the main bracket. If you win, you move on to Round 2. If you lose, you aren’t eliminated immediately .... you drop into Consolation Round 1.

• Lose in Consolation Round 1 → you’re out.

• Win in Consolation Round 1 → you advance to Consolation Round 2.

You can lose once and still win the entire competition ... a full comeback run through the back door (DIRTY just sayin lol).

It keeps the tournament competitive, fair, and fun, even when early matchups get tough.
