March 13, 200817 yr Author Ron Mueck is an Australian hyperrealist sculptor working in Great Britain. And that (^) is a self-portrait (not to scale!!!) Mueck established his own company in London, making photo-realistic props and animatronics for the advertising industry. Although highly detailed, these props were usually designed to be photographed from one specific angle hiding the mess of construction seen from the other side. Mueck increasingly wanted to produce realistic sculptures which looked perfect from all angles. Mueck's sculptures faithfully reproduce the minute detail of the human body, but play with scale to produce disconcertingly jarring visual images. His five metre high sculpture Boy 1999 was a feature in the Millennium Dome and later exhibited in the Venice Biennale:
March 13, 200817 yr Author I love his stuff - it's pretty... well, ODD. Which falls perfectly within this thread's remit! I've included some more thumbnails - with a few different angles and people for scale. I hope you like them:
March 13, 200817 yr Author And, for some reason, this one unsettles me: Mueck started his career in model-making and special-effects. And - just as an interesting aside - he designed, and was the voice of, LUDO in Labyrinth... Now that's something to have on your C.V....
March 15, 200817 yr I am not sure if this is odd exhibits but I think they are cool... A jello city...

March 19, 200817 yr Author Following on from penny's post - I've delved into this sinister Easter Bunny business and uncovered some uncomfortable evil evidence... Firstly, when it comes to hanging out with the kids he's simply, well, NOT VERY FRIENDLY: And is often found LOOMING over them, with DUBIOUS intentions: The kids don't like him. And THEY know a bad'un when they see one. Turns out they were right. Scaring kids is just a tiny part of it. The Easter Bunny is actually nothing but a cold-blooded KILLER: And some say he's not just about sheer brute force and bloodlust - that his powers are WAY beyond that... ...His INFLUENCE stretches far and wide - and, apparently, ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP: So, BE AFRAID. Death and Chocolate are a toxic combination... :pinky:
