The 29-year-old actress chatted about fiance Benjamin Millepied, whom she worked with on Black Swan and is the father of her child. Asked by Ellen how their relationship started, Natalie revealed, “It was definitely over time as we worked together more. It’s very romantic to dance together.”

The newly-engaged mother-to-be appeared on the afternoon show yesterday to talk babies, pregnancy cravings and love. Natalie, 29, confessed she's 'embarrassed' to be having the predictable cravings for pickles and tomato ketchup. 'I love pickles. I liked them before, though. Dill pickles. Anything with vinegar like ketchup, that's a vinegar food. I love that,' she said. Shortly after, DeGeneres brought out a massive platter of pickles, assuring Portman: 'If that's not enough we have more.' Ellen then performed a series of tests on the game-for-a-laugh Golden Globe winner to help predict whether she is having a boy or a girl - with the result apparently being a girl. 'I don't know whether it's a boy or girl,' she told Ellen. 'I've felt really, really good. I'm so lucky.' Portman was asked to show her hands, whether her feet had been colder since she discovered she was expecting a baby, and then sat back as Ellen held a string over her baby bump. 'Ok, this is like gypsy mode,' laughed Natalie. 'I'm not moving it,' insisted Ellen, as the string began to swing left and then right. 'That's a girl - all three of those tests show a girl. You're having a girl and her name is Ellen!' said the talk show host. Ellen then presented the screen star with two tiny ballet outfits - one for a girl and one for a boy. Portman also gushed about her fiancé Benjamin Millepied, who she met while filming the film Black Swan. She said the two fell in love gradually. 'It was definitely over time as we worked together more, it's very romantic to dance together,'she said. 'He choreographed the dancing and he's my partner in the film as well.'
