I don't understand creative directors/photographers/company CEO's of cosmetics companies.

You advertise your makeup and then you use so much photoshop in your ads it makes the whole thing a joke.

well this is because they are not designed to be displayed on 10-20 inch computer screens. they are for 10m prints or for billboards, where they look less weird and skin tones are warm even at such large size. you could try it out for yourself. download the full res image 12-16mp and print it large.

Maybe you're right but I doubt they are only designed for huge displays. Most of those images are used for publications and websites too.

It's just a matter of doing it at a fair amount and not overdoing it.

 

VS for example are getting better at it, at one point it was pure disaster with their photos.
