Directors: Francis Lawrence

Writers: Akiva Goldsman, Mark Protosevich

Cast:

Summary:

Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows ... watching Neville's every move ... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered ... and quickly running out of time.

I heard about this quite some time ago when Will Smith was cast. Apparently they've had two other movies made. The last one was the Omega Man. It's a tall order for Smith to out perform a role played by Charlton Heston. I wonder whose idea it is to keep casting Will Smith in sci-fi movies? Men In Black, I Robot, I am Legend. He does a good job though.

i loved this movie!

I really liked this movie also.. It was really sad with the dog. But I guess it really addressed the idea of loneliness and isolation, sacrifice and hope. COOL movie.

It was very sad with the dog, I quite like his companionship! But yeah, I had to control myself from big reactions when I was watching this film because I was on the plane with like 100s of other people.... :p

I definitely wanna watch this one - but first I wanna read the book :)

I read the book before the movie came out and I thought there were a lot of differences in the film. But it worked and turned out being an awesome movie, cried my eyes out when Sammy died though!

there's a book???

Oh i didnt knew that have to read it :D

When he got caught in that trap and hung upside down (remember when that dummy was moved). Was that his own trap he fell into or a trap set by the mutants.

That's what I thought too. It's understandable, when you're almost the last person on earth.

I was happy they intoduced those 2 characters after the dog left, or else it would of felt like cast away, only without the coconut.

i was sad in the end when he died :( i thought that he would survived and he would gone to that safe place with that woman and her kid :D

I remember i actually cried when the dog Sam dies

yep me too that dog was so adorable i totally loved it :D
