October 6, 20186 yr It is true that Frida and Jac got started at a very young age and that they have very much done it all at this point, but they are both so amazing that I can’t help but want them to continue to work. I mean look at someone like Freja Beha (who is also amazing), she started at 18 and has done it all by now yet 13 years into her career she is still at the top of the industry. I could have seen Frida and Jac doing something similar because they definitely have all the tools for it. Or at the very least more editorial work on a regular basis. As it stands they are sadly barely doing anything.

And as much as I love her for VS and I think she and Elsa would have been a super cool duo, she really dodged a bullet. Being a VS Angel is not what it used to be during Gisele and KK’s time.
October 7, 20186 yr She was let go from VS and her career nearly evaporated. Prior to VS she was on a roll for a long time. Then she enrolled in art school
October 7, 20186 yr Going from a successful high fashion career to doing VS seems to be a big gamble because if the VS thing doesn’t work out, it’s seen as a huge L and then high fashion clients aren’t interested anymore. Chanel seems to be a good example of it. Maybe that’s why Kate G. backed off early. Karlie seems to have escaped the curse because she was able to brand herself as a celebrity outside of being a VS Angel.
October 8, 20186 yr This is a completely different situation, Jac was doing just fine balancing VS and HF up until she started to have health issues, which I'm pretty sure changed her priorities, she's still working in those issues and she's been open about it. I think Jac was really smart by signing with VS when she did tbh, she had already done every major HF gig and she had built strong connections that she still has which is why she still books covers and shows whenever she decides to do fashion week, I just get the feeling that she's over the whole industry now and would much rather focus on other things. Unlike Chanel who really did get dropped by everyone o.o I agree @Beauty Junky that Jac+Elsa would have been gold for VS as a duo, their work together was always great and they seem to genuinly like each other, they seem to have similar personalities.

October 14, 20186 yr About leaving VS Jac said "'Left' is not the right word. My contract had ended and so we (me and vs) went our own ways. It's all friendly non drama situation." She didn't end her job with VS because of her health issues, as she said she didn't know about her sickness until that time when she got hospitalized, and her work with VS ended long before that. I do miss her in VS as well, but I feel she felt like it wasn't what she wanted to do in her career. Then the health issues came, and well... I feel like she is focusing in her studies right now, she has always shown that education is a priority for her, as even when she was walking to big shows in Italy and Paris she kept studying in her town's school. She said she still wants to work in fashion "for other 10 years" so we are still (save?) ... as I feel it, we will still have some editorials and they might not be many, but well... she is studying, and taking care of her health, and well... she is now married as well. So many changes in her life rn. Also, she launched a shoes line with Reda Milano.

The odds are we'll never know. I'm personally more inclined to think it was Jac who decided not to renew, I adore her for the brand but I always had the feeling her personality wasn't right for the VS gig, especially with the current direction the brand is going for
October 17, 20186 yr What health issues problem she had? That made her stay away from her modeling career for a while. I really missed her modeling photoshoot. She is just so lovely.

HERE I leave you an interview she made about it.

They truly adored her and if I remember correctly they used her adequately when she was with them. I think it was her decision to not renew her contract.
