Did you guys know: Under British law the phrase "Owen Hargreaves" was considered an obsentity until after last year's World Cup. You could actually serve jail time for saying it multiple times in public. To be honest man, I'm not sure I'm ready for the season. Liverpool at home? Do we have to? I need more time! What's Rafa's starting XI going to be, does he even know? We don't actually have a fully fit right-back at the moment so I'm thinking Olof will be playing there and it'll be Cahill and Laursen in the centre. I always say we play our best stuff when we pass it along the ground and feed into the feet of our pacey guys. If we start hoofin' it up the pitch with no target then the game is there for Liverpool to win. So I'll hope for a win, expect a draw but try not to be too upset if we lose!

I never thought I'd defend those dastardly media goons but in all fairness, nobody has done a more stirling job of whipping up negative thoughts about the new Wembley than the English press. That's what you get when you hire lazy Australian builders that lay the first brick about two years late. You see in Britain we moan about stuff we want (a new national stadium, the Olympics) and then when we get it we become outraged. "You mean we have to PAY to host the Olympics?! Get outta here!" So remember... Losing in penalty shoot-outs = OMG u brave lions wur sooo unlukki~! Paying for the Olympics = OMG u want me 2 pay 4 ur stoopid runin race?

Obviously their pre-season is in it's early stages, whereas we've had a tour of North America so our players were obviously a lot more match fit than theirs, but they were coming off a win against Man Utd. Reading will do well to finish top half of the table but I like that they haven't thrown huge sums at players who'd be straight out the door if the shit hit the fan. They can't really ask for much more than what they got last season, they might as well try and consolidate with what they've got. Portsmouth have spent a lot of money but whether they've improved is debatable. Don't think they'll be in any trouble though. Bolton have bought Gavin McCann and Jlloyd Samuel from us so surely a relegation fight beckons for them!

Alonso's an ass. There's really no way of getting around it.

How many goals did Fabregas and Rosicky get between them last season in the Premiership? I don't want this taken out of context because obviously both of them made enormous contributions through assists and what-not but they were hardly getting many for themselves.

Emergency Room
I just caught a newish episode (2006, John Leguizamo was in it!). Parminder Nagra is hot. I wish I had something more constructive to say but there it is.

Your favourite serial?
My favourite cereal would have to be Lucky Charms.

If I see the early ones on sale, I might have a flutter. They look like they've got some decent featurettes. I'm a dork for that kind of thang.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
This film is anything but boring. If anything I'd have appreciated them slowing down a bit. Structurally it is a bit weak, you've got a lot of characters dipping in and out and yeah, they do drop the ball on the whole Cho thang by having her disappear in the third act. Then again, the book is a juggernaut so adapting it couldn't have been easy as the text has quite a lot of incidental stuff going on. Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman and all the bits where Harry's leading his troops more than made up for that though and I would rank it alongside Goblet of Fire and Prisoner of Azkaban as the best of the films.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - I enjoyed the completely unexplained transformation of Ron from whiny bitch to dull yes man.

Most of those are pretty good, if unspectacular. I'll probably get the new home Villa shirt and I'll try eBay and for one of those Lazio girls. That Bilbao "blood cell" shirt is plain nasty. The new BVB and Bayern shirts. Who said the Germans don't have...er...erm...style...?
