Superbad. What a tremendous motion picture.- Football
Actually the <_< face was for liking Bayern and having a soft spot for Schalke. Being the Borussia Dortmund loving son of a gun that I am, I'm just not sure I can tolerate such madness. In fact, I may have to break up with you.- Football

They shoved Martins out on the wing, which didn't work. Viduka looked fat and disinterested yet still received the traditional standing ovation from the "Toon Army". Owen came on and had maybe two touches of the ball. They'll finish 12th and the rest of the world will carry on as it ever did.- Football
How bad are Newcastle? We shoulda and coulda whooped dem boys, they can't keep possession to save their lives. Still, we're off the mark and we've got Fulham at home next. Spurs beat Derby. I guess that means they're title contenders again. 4-0 against Derby, whoopdefrickin'doo. Losing 3-1 to Duisburg was hurtful. But 4-1 to Schalke. Schalke! Schalke! I can't articulate my disappointment. Awful. The pits. I hate the Bundesliga season already. Bayern winning 4-0 at Bremen? What's the point?- 100 Greatest Movies of All Time
Citizen Kane shouldn't be classed as overrated. If anything, the film seems to get nitpicked at all the time because of lists such as this. The significance and longevity of Kane can hardly be stressed enough and as a stand alone film, it is damn fine. For it's influence alone it should quite clearly be in the top ten. Is it the "best" film of all-time? What does that even mean? Its great, its Orson Welles and cinema would be a lot poorer without it.- Football

Mark Delaney, Villa right-back and one of football's nice guys has sadly had to retire at aged 31. He hadn't played for a year so it was to be expected but it is nevertheless a sad day, especially as he had given us some eight years service. On a brighter note, Spurs are bottom of the table. Proof that while life can often be unfair, it can also provide wonderful surprises.- Diane Kruger
Taken out of context, this sure looks funny. Another (less funny) National Treasure: Book of Secrets shot- Football
Taylor had a good game, I felt bad for him because he had no chance with either goal. If you look at Gerrard's free-kick, you'll see how well Taylor does to even get within the same postal code as the shot. Ironically, he's struggling to be fit for the Newcastle game so it looks like Carson will be playing regardless.- MLB

Between Laursen's own goal (nicely placed in the roof of the net!) and the free-kick that shouldn't have been, it was probably never going to be our day. We weren't especially good but then we didn't deserve that. Oh well, upwards and onwards...Newcastle away, next match. "High flying" Newcastle, that is. I'll try not to shit my pants just yet. God damn Bundesliga season, I wish it had never bothered starting; a 3-1 home defeat to Duisburg is about as bad a way to start the season as I could imagine.- MLB

St. Tropez boogie woogie shindig~! Best picture ever? I'm inclined to say so.- Genesis

The pics on this page = greatness. Especially the poloroids. Are you kiddin' with those? Too good.- Genesis
When I'm not grooving to Rihanna and Common and whatever else the young people like these days, I'm getting down with Genesis. That's early Genesis, not mid tempo '80s Genesis with Phil crooning in a lounge chair. I'm talking Peter Gabriel dressed like a nut, wall to wall prog-tastic mayhem circa 1973. I used to think it was The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway that was the album of albums but now I'm beginning to think that its actually Selling England by the Pound; this album is slaying me right now. I know we have German members on this board and I've never met a German yet who doesn't love Genesis so come on in, share your love.- Football
