Uhm!? Ridley Scott Says ‘Gladiator 3' in the Works ... In an exclusive via Première, Ridley Scott confirms he is working on “Gladiator III”. The filmmaker links the ending of “Gladiator II” to the ending of “The Godfather”, with Paul Mescal as a Michael Corleone type of figure who gained power without having wanted it. No, seriously! I lit the fuse... The ending of “Gladiator II” is reminiscent of “The Godfather”, with Michael Corleone ending up with a job he didn't want, and wondering, 'What now, Father, what do I do? "So the next [movie] will be about a man who doesn't want to be where he is." According to Scott, who turns 87 in November, the sequel would deal with Mescal’s character and the power struggles of the political world in Rome. When contacted for comment, Mescal, who plays Lucius, reacted to the director's words: Yes, Ridley told me about it, but only yesterday! So I'm waiting to see what will happen, but I'm interested, of course. Scott will have to wait and see how “Gladiator II” does at the box-office before fully committing to the third chapter. I almost fainted in fear for Celebrimbor when he had the guts to finally push Sauron away (literally) and Sauron was like (for cruel context) but suddenly he was all calm and I was loudly like also this parallel???!!! *chefs kiss even though I'm painfully aware the worst is yet to come 🫣 I think his performance of Annatar is even heartwarming haters of the show right now because goddamn he's so so so good I would claim he's pulling of one of the finest most fascinating performances of a tv villain. If you had resistments till this point it's worth the watch just for the characterisation of Sauron/Halbrand/Annatar I can't remember having such a great time to watch an inexperienced actors work lately @Lilja K

Charlies portrayl of Sauron in S2 is nothing short of phenomenal. As much as I loved the unwashed character of Halbrand and missing him badly (I mean 😚) but this cunning deceving Annatar is spectacular and so much fun to watch. His evil qualm but yet charming plotting made me shiver in almost every scene of his in this episode. No kiddin. I also have nothing but respect for Charlie for being capable to pull that pretty little bow and being terrifying at the same time 😄 Also Durin "I see ya bitch" calling him out again, hero of the season
