Martin Scorsese Says He Has “No Intention of Retiring"; Still Plans to Make ‘Life of Jesus' and ‘Sinatra' Martin Scorsese is in Torino where he will be honored tonight at the Cinema Museum with a career achievement award. Tomorrow he will be the honored guest of a masterclass session. At today’s press conference in Torino, Scorsese, 81, tackled what’s next for him. It had been previously reported that “Sinatra” and “The Life of Jesus,” which Scorsese planned to shoot this year, had been postponed. This all led to speculation on Scorsese’s health, but the legendary filmmaker says he has no plans of retiring. I have no intention of retiring. The film about Frank Sinatra is only postponed while the one about Jesus I am working on. I hope God gives me the strength and money to finish them. Some have speculated that ‘Sinatra’ was postponed due to the late singer’s family estate not giving the greenlight for Scorsese to shoot the biopic. Meanwhile, “The Life of Jesus” keeps having script revisions, and will eventually get shot in the near future, with Andrew Garfield attached to star. Scorsese is currently shooting an ancient shipwrecks documentary in Italy, which started production last week. He’s also been teasing an adaptation of Marilynne Robinson’s “Home.” Suffice to say, there’s a lot on his plate and he’s clearly not done making cinema.- Last movie you saw...
Can't express how much I love this movie!!! So underrated.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
To less Galadriel/Sauron drama? 🤣 I mean their confrontation/fight was great but to me it was like the whole 2nd season + promo was built on their final (and only) scene together so it all felt a bit short and rushed when it finally happened. Even though I loved that he could've easily killed her.... ... but obviously didn't. Their "connection" or whatever still fascinates me. The choreography of the fight was great. Those little details. Chefs kiss. To less Galadriel alltogether (not only in the finale). But yeah Annatar/Sauron/and the glimpse of unwashed + washed Halbrand rocked this season. I still can't believe HOW GOOD CHARLIE VICKERS was and how different from season 1. His portrayl is nearly perfection for me so far and him and Celebrimbor carried everything. bonus 💔 (I can't believe that scene was partially improvised and I can't believe he made me sympathize with Sauron yet again after everything he did!!!) Also hats off to Charles Edwards. He broke my heart. I really hope both of them will get some emmy love. But mostly disappointed we now have to wait -for what- 2(????) more years for season 3 Can't wait to see what happens next and what forms Sauron is going for to reach his dark lord plansAccount
