Seems like KOTFM might compete for the Palme d'Or in Cannes. Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Sets October 6th Release Date As previously mentioned, Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” will premiere at Cannes then get rolled out in the fall. Variety has confirmed that fall date to be October 6th in limited release and wide on October 20th. There is currently no date for a streaming bow on Apple TV. Judging by that date, I’m purely speculating here that ‘Killers’ will have its North American premiere at the New York Film Festival, which begins in the first week of October. Cannes boss Thierry Fremaux basically confirmed the appearance of Scorsese’s film at Cannes this afternoon: Yes, we’re in discussions. For 2023, the important thing is to make sure that Martin Scorsese attends with his new film which is an important work. The last time he came with a film was for “After Hours” in 1986! Can “Killers of the Flower Moon” compete for the Palme d’Or? I was skeptical until just a few days ago when I heard from a French journalist who told me that it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities. Apple no doubt wants a Palme d’Or along with their Oscars, for sheer legitimacy’s sake. Apple also seems to be more flexible in adhering to French laws in regards to theatrical and streaming. I say, who knows! Historically, Apple original movies have appeared exclusively on the streaming service or have been released in a small number of theaters. This mindset seems to have changed. A Bloomberg report from last week claimed that Apple planned to spend $1 billion a year to produce movies that would be released in theaters. It’s all part of an effort to raise their profile in Hollywood. Source

Beside from the rumor I wonder if he had any interaction with Gigis little girl meanwhile. I mean she's only 2 years old but if he's not getting along with her everything else is pretty pointless.

Never watched Eyes Wide Shut beside from some parts of it. It's so long and kinda... dull? Also seeing Tom and Nicole together is kinda awkward like their ringed in the end of their marriage publicly and naked lol But hell they looked good. Maybe I give it another try.

Speaking of apple+ Leo is making some waves for EXTRAPOLATIONS. It has a stellar cast for sure. Tarantino movie update (since there isn't much else I will update this project until we know for sure Leo is in or out) Rumor: Tarantino Wants Cate Blanchett For His Last Film, Said to be Critique of Current Hollywood Jeff Snieder has been on a roll when it comes to breaking stories, only for the trades to break them a day later. In the latest episode of HOT MIC, he had an update on Quentin Tarantino’s “The Movie Critic,” still set for production this fall. Sneider is hearing that Tarantino’s upcoming film will be “critical of the current state of Hollywood.” He add that QT wants Cate Blanchett for the lead role. These are just rumors, but we’ll take whatever we can get about this one. And yes, I have read Giant Freaking Robot’s “exclusive,” from earlier this week, Sneider tells me that the Margot Robbie casting rumors don’t seem to be gelling with what he’s heard. We don’t know much about this mysterious new Tarantino project. There had been rumblings that it would be about late film critic Pauline Kael, but two of the filmmaker’s friends shut down those rumors last week. What’s quite clear is that a fall production has been set-up and we’re pretty confident the title is indeed “The Movie Critic,” but that’s about it. A person had told me over the weekend that Tarantino was inspired to write this movie after the release of his recent book “Cinema Speculation” and that he’s “fictionalized a few key passages” from it into this script.
