Apparently the del Toro project is Crimson Peak. http://screenrant.com/charlie-hunnam-guillermo-del-toro-crimson-peak/ OMG Guillermo trying for something like The Shining or The Exorcist... I love horror classics like that. This sounds so amazing. Too bad it isn't slated til October 2015. I'm not usually into celeb guys but this one does it for me for some reason. I'm glad he dropped out of 50 Shades. I don't think he needed it to be successful and it had the potential to taint/pigeonhole his career.

^I'm inserting myself in this conversation to say that I think you did a great job of articulating the themes of that movie The Skeleton Twins - I was surprised by how much I liked this movie. Bill Hader will amaze and delight you. The only thing I didn't like was how bad I felt for Luke Wilson's character. He was my favourite, but it felt like even the screenwriter had some disdain for his character. Wearing those weird fivefinger toe-shoes and eating pizza pockets are not crimes, y'all!
  7. lol, agreed. I don't think most guys care about the location, but their shoot locations have been at least something of a draw (travel channel stuff, etc). Plus, SI has been increasingly becoming a female-friendly mag and less a glorified lads mag. I think that's a great point about the economy and travelling within the US, though. The USA really does get overlooked as a tourist destination - *mostly by Americans themselves IMO* - which is a shame, considering the quality and wide variety of places to visit. I constantly meet non-Americans who list the US as one of their top travel destinations, though - except Canadians. But they eat poutine, so can you really trust them?

Jeez Louise that's a great shoot. Her face is so striking.
  9. ^Strongly disagree. Not about Kate's personality, but re: her success, and her personality in relation to Alexandria. It goes without saying that this is all my opinion, but so is Prettyphile's. You can cite Kate's success as evidence that she has the better personality, but I think that's misguided. She has a lovely face, big ol boobies, and was in the right place at the right time. She seems nice enough and, sure, she's been embraced by the fashion industry, but it's one of the most shallow industries you can find and oh yeah, is currently also accepting the Kardashians. popularity != personality. And the point is that however far "personality" has gotten Kate, IMO Alexandria has way more of it. If you want to say that Kate has a more marketable personality than Alex, then I'd wholeheartedly agree with that. I just hate the way media tries to portray hot celebs, sometimes. I love Emily Ratajkowski but I still lol inwardly when I see the media talk about why she got a fame boost from "Blurred Lines" and the other models didn't. They mention stuff like "spunk" or "personality" - I'm sure it had nothing to do with her prettier face and larger, perfect looking breasts. I'm not saying these girls are nothing but sets of tits - it's just that there have been plenty of confident, upbeat women in the past who didn't succeed... but I guess it's not so PC to openly talk about the public only paying attention to certain celebrities for their bouncing jubblies. "Body positive and confident!" or "sassy and spunky!" sound a lot better for journalistic purposes. edit: I feel it remiss to blabber on without at least including a pic:

Oh my she looked so lovely at that graduation. Congrats to her. For once I can see an English lit degree being directly applicable to someone's career, haha.

    Beautiful face.
  14. Whoa Robin looks hot. I love the idea of an All-American issue, although isn't part of SI SE's appeal all the exotic locations? Their readers are primarily American... doing all American shoots doesn't really give that "exotic getaway" feel. If they do go for it, I hope they don't neglect the South though. Some Appalachian mountains or rural shots could be great.

  19. lol Agreed on the rest though. She doesn't look especially thin in her latest pic. In fact she looks pretty awesome. She is definitely an oversharer on twitter/blogs, but I think she's just young and hasn't been coached by a publicist yet. But Kate Moss as a 'goal'? Cmon now. Her bod has an awesome shape, though. She's one of those chicks who can put on weight or lose it and still look good. Of course I'd prefer her to keep it on, but can see her not going very far in modelling regardless You need a good hook for the public to grasp onto, and some other chick who looks like Kate but isn't Kate and has more syllables in her name and has potentially controversial opinions and voices them? Not the best way to include the lowest common denominator in your fanbase. Some of us will prefer her for that reason, of course

Agreed. I think people went wild with the Sharon Tate comparisons. I think they were done purposefully, but not necessarily to imply that Megan would be brutally murdered. There are a million other reasons to compare the two than just straight-up hinting at a huge (and imo weird, not-good) plot point. Poor Don... bittersweet victory.
  21. I think Kendall is good looking, but bringing the Kardashian stigma into the mag would be a risky move. But Anna Wintour didn't mind, so maybe MJ won't either. Personally I don't think they would or should go for it, but it would probably be great for sales and publicity.
  22. Thank you everyone for the pics! I didn't see these posted yet...
