I just wonder if they will let their numbers drop down to like 4ish angels for a while and shop girls around, or if they will immediately sign another large bunch. I'm not super impressed with most of the girls they are trying out--they work really well as catalog regulars but I just don't see them catching on with the general public. But hey, Ed's been doing this for a long time, so he knows best. -

Re: how much VS pays: it's suuuuper hard to say because it probably depends on what the pictures will be used for (website vs. catalog vs. special campaign, etc...you see where I'm going here). It also depends on the model being hired since their agency will negotiate their individual rate. But I would guess (and this is a guess, I could be totally off here so grain of salt) that VS would pay Jac a few thousand per shoot, though I don't know how much of that she would actually take home after taxes and commissions. But in general catalog work and brand ambassador jobs are where models will make much of their salary; editorials and HF pay barely anything/get away with doing so because it is "exposure."

I hope to see her in some HF campaigns as well, but at this point it is her choice. Like Claudia said, she doesn't need to do it and it is well known that commercial work is where all the $$$ is (especially for brands like VS). These days many commercial models will have a season when they go back to the runway for a few blue chip shows and get a campaign out of it, just to keep their profile up. I'm sure we'll see her do that in the next couple years. But fashion week is a game for either young/new girls trying to get a big break or very high-profile models; there's not a lot of inbetween tbh.

I feel like it was maybe too late to have been an S/S campaign? I'm guessing a March cover. And I wonder if it was the same thing over 2 days...seems like she shot something big on Dec. 17th as well, the day after she posted the pic with Carlyne and Pat.

But on a more on-topic note, I actually really love the catalog. I'm glad to see them switch it up a little. The idea of the cover is nice but they could've picked a better pic. I think they should've picked that b&w one of Stella.

Well, Lily seems to work with them pretty frequently, but Karlie must have a pretty sweet contract. She hardly shows up for any shoots all year but I'm sure she's making big $$$, and of course so are Adri/Ale. Bee and Candice need to renegotiate TBH

I find it so bizarre that they only have 2-3 Angels in the swim catalog and the V-Day catalog (+ Elsa but that hasn't even been officially announced yet). Is everyone about to call it quits? (I hope so) Where is Karlie? And why isn't Lily in the latest catalog? I have so many questions LOL

^Thanks Pink I know people don't love Jasmine but she's suuuuch a good and needed addition to the lineup IMO. Hope they keep using her regularly (and Shanina!!!)

F I N A L L Y!!!! I wanted to post the picture yesterday but I was looking for a high res…UK Vogue should be embarrassed that it took that long. She AND Joan AND several other models of color should've had SOLO covers YEARS ago, but ESPECIALLY Jourdan since she is from the UK. I'm still fuming that they gave Georgia May Jagger a cover before Jourdan. There's a very sad collage of the 2014 UK Vogue covers to underscore the point and it's pitiful to look at; every model is styled the same and a few of them used for the 50-11th time. But I'm so happy for Jourdan!

I'm not that big a fan of this girl, but I think she fits the current VS aesthetic very well…I'd be really curious to see how she'd do in a test shoot; she might not be that bad an addition
