I plan on moving out there in the fall for school, and even room rentals are insane. I rent out a private room and private bathroom in my basement with all utilities included for $600 here. Something equivalent out there is looking around $950.

I like Kate. She's not my favourite or first choice, but I'd take her over a majority of the girls already in the issue. Homegirl has gotta stop pretending she's 24 though.

This is why I don’t fuck with Kylie. Again for comparison, you can get the Sigma 29 piece set for $410 (only $50 more) and get 12 more brushes, and Sigma brushes are AMAZING. And the Sigma set is actually on sale for $370 right now.

Also, anyone have any recommendations for a good B.B. cream? I’m trying to move away from wearing foundation all the time but I still have a lot of discolouration and scarring that I’m not 100% comfortable with yet so I just want something light but will just even things out a little.

I personally boycott Kylie because I find her business practices awful, and her products vastly overrated. You can find equivalent products at lower prices imo. Just for a comparison- that particular palette is $42 for 12.6 grams, so $3.35/gram. Makeup Geek is the same cost per gram, but I’ve always heard the product is better. (Although you have the extra cost of a Z palette, but the trade off is getting exactly the colours you want rather than only liking 5 or 6 out of the 9.) Off topic from the purples but still on eyeshadow, I think my new palette will be from Juvia’s Place. They look like they have INSANE colour payoff, and are pretty affordable. (Around $2.25/gram.)

There's a store near me that actually carries Morphe, and they felt like chalk to me. The colour payoff wasn't awesome either, and that was with finger swatches. I think for the price point they're not awful but I personally wouldn't recommend them. I'm also not a huge fan of them just basically private labeling Crown brushes and marking them up insanely. I'd check out Make Up Geek for a good purple!
