I didn't say you were saying it, or even hint that you were, but it is 100% being said about her. And it's so easy to be so flippant and say "this is how it should be, the world is a perfect place and every single crime is equal and bears the same weight and consequences on a individual" when I outlined a variety of reason why it can be difficult for abuse victims to come forward right away. Yes, obviously the sooner someone comes forward, the better their case is going to be but my whole point was that to compare those two things as if they were equal and use that to back your argument is ridiculous.

Also the comparison of reporting a robbery after six months vs reporting an abuse or rape after the fact is such a ridiculous argument. The repercussions of the two events are utterly incomparable. No one gets called a dirty lying whore while receiving death threats when they report a theft.

Schemer clearly doesn't understand how Hollywood works. Depp is a HUGE player, with a lot of big people on his side. It would not be unsurprising if Amber finds herself blacklisted. Even if people aren't doing it to support Johnny directly, getting that close to that controversy and drama is enough to have people shy away from or reconsider including her in projects. Particularly since Amber isn't that established as an actress. And women aren't "attracted to bad boys." We're literally societally conditioned and taught that men mistreating us is a display of affection. Girls in elementary school are told that boys pulling their hair and calling them names is because they like them, and that behaviour is continually excused and taught. "Boys will be boys!" It's so easy to say someone should report it right away when you're outside of the situation. There are SO many reasons that a person doesn't feel comfortable or safe coming forward- they could be scared of their abuser, they're afraid no one will believe them, their reputation will be dragged through the mud. Not to mention, this is a person that they believes loves them, and outside of the abuse, is probably constantly reinforcing that idea- telling them they'll change or do better, and showering them in affection. It's impossible to say if he is or isn't guilty with the information that's been released at this point, but the media bias is absolutely disgusting. Attacking Amber's sexuality, and dragging her through the mud, while posts about Depp are "Eligible Bachelor Once Again!" is so disturbing.

After years of various alternative treatments, I've finally gotten my doctor to prescribe me Accutane, and have been on my first course for just over a week now. So far it's been going well, and the only side effect has been the extreme dryness of my lips and hands. I've been told to use hydrocortisone cream, but very sparingly, and am wondering if anyone has any good brands to recommend for lip balms or hand lotions? (:

It's just a quiet period for VS. There's nothing happening right now, apart from some catalog shoots. Leading up to the swim special the thread was busy, and come July when they start doing the holiday commercial and VSFS info really starts rolling come September, this thread will be buzzing again until the show airs. Last year there was the new Angel announcements and everything too, so it was a relatively significant transition period for VS. This year there haven't been any huge shake ups in the line up.

The VS tumblr is not a fan site or forum. It's a marketing tool used and run by VS. The people at tFS think they're way too special to care about something as common as VS.

Stuff selling out was the main reason I decided to order right away. I actually had a different top in my cart, left it for a couple days and came back to find it sold out in like, 4 out of the 6 colours, with my size totally gone. And the bralette that I did order is back ordered for a while. The VS store near me doesn't even carry swim anymore, and hasn't had any for the last month or so. This year's swim was very....extra. Lots of ruffles or crochet, with totally awful necklaces and cuts that would lead to terrible tan lines, but there also a lot of suits I really liked.
