And unfortunately it’s still coming. - Brett Ratner (director and producer) was accused of rape by Melanie Kohler, a former employee at a talent agency. Several other women have come forward with statements against him, including Olivia Munn and Ellen Page. Ellen released a statement today that also detailed other instances of sexual misconduct that she faced as a child in the industry, but did not name any other names. - Charlie Sheen has been accused of raping then 13yr old Corey Haim, although his mother denies this claim. She says that while he son was sexually abused as a child in the industry, it was not Charlie who did it. She has an interview due to be released today where she supposedly names this man. - Terry Crews has filed charges against Adam Venit, a top level agent at WME, for sexually harassing him at a party. Terry was represented by WME, and has dropped the agency after the LAPD began their investigation. I am so glad that these women and men feel safe enough to come forward, despite the vitriol they’re facing now, and I’m glad it seems like some of them are actually facing consequences for their actions but there are still so many cases that are being swept under the rug. When are Allen and Polanski going to face this level of scrutiny?

And them expanding the Star Wars universe doesn’t really bother me. How many Star Wars novels are there in the canon? Animated tv shows, video games, etc. That universe is already constantly expanding, and there is plenty of already there source material they could draw on for this new trilogy.
Sara has spoken many times about how acting is her true passion, but she’s been saying this for a while and haven’t seen much traction on that front which makes me think she has the looks and not the talent. Like someone mentioned, I can see her going the RHW route but I doubt she’ll ever fully transition to actress. Even EmRata level roles seem unlikely to me.

Taylor is a grown woman who refuses to take responsibility for any of her actions, and while I don’t believe she’s completely to blame for her “feuds,” this “woe is me ): I’m a sweet little girl who is getting picked on by these nasty mean people” act is just sad. And I used to be a Taylor fan. Bought the concert tickets, came home with a tour t-shirt. But this latest phase is awful.
A lot more allegations in Hollywood in the past week: - Kevin Spacey has been accused of sexual assault by actor Anthony Rapp when Rapp was 14. Since his allegations, more children as well as crew members on his projects have come forward with accusations. He has since been dropped from House of Cards and recast in one of his movies that was due to release in 6 weeks. - Actress Portia De Rossi came out on twitter accusing Steven Segal of exposing himself to her while she was auditioning for a role in one of his films. - Louis CK’s movie premiere in NY was cancelled hours before it was set to begin today following news that an article against him was due to drop Nov. 10th. Allegations have been made against CK in the past regarding him exposing himself and masturbating in front of various women. - Ed Westwick has been accused of rape from two women this week as well- actress Kristina Cohen, and model Aurélie Wynn.
While I understand the issue of “token/replaceable” WOC, it’s a bold face lie to say Lais and Jasmine get compared more than the Blondes™ do. Just stating “facts.”
I very much doubt that’s the runway. VS isn’t going to set it up 10+ days early and pay to rent a huge arena for that long.From what I can tell there is an event tomorrow at that arena that is not sponsored by VS, but they are using it as a promotional opportunity by sending Lais. Also, why would Pharrell be rehearsing now if he was a show performer? They always rehearse with the models so they can plan who goes where etc etc. (Also Lais posting a picture of him basically guarantees that he’s not a performer since they haven’t announced the acts yet, and homegirl ain’t dumb enough to leak that.) A+ critical thinking skills for these fan accounts sometimes.

I agree. The fact that there are women essentially bleaching their skin to adhere to a beauty ideal that arose from outdated classism should be the first "warning sign." To the "she's Chinese, let her be Asian" argument, here she is next to Liu Wen, who looks perfectly natural (no doritos here) and Sui is noticeably paler. I'm not saying Sui needs twelve coats of spray tan. I'm just thinking the "dead girl walking" look isn't ideal for a lingerie show.
I doubt think either of us were saying she needed to be an Oompaloompa. However, because she's so naturally pale, on top of the intense stage lighting, she looked sickly imo. Also, she admits to using bleaching/whitening skin care so it's hardly like that's more natural for her than a tan.
If she signed on for 'x' amount of shows, and then refused to fulfill that, it would be a breach of contract. They can't physically force her down the runway, but there could technically be a lawsuit, or predetermined fines.
At this point it makes more sense to just buy out whatever’s remaining on her contract than to come back for one more show after being absent from the brand for two years. Especially since Bee isn’t really the “grind to be runway ready” kind of Angel.
Only one, after this show. She was credited as a spokesmodel in the 2016 show, indicating that’s when her contract went into effect. 2017 and 2018 would finish it off. Like others have said, and I’ve mentioned before, I’m totally happy waiting for Grace to move to mainline. There are already far too many Angels, and Grace is young. She has plenty of time to grow with VS, and I would prefer her to build her base in Pink and then move to mainline when she won’t be vying for attention with 14 other girls.
