I think the visa issue is part of the reason why they held castings so much earlier this year. It gave the models ample time when they heard they made they show to get applications in. And I also think this is one of those situations that can’t really be prepared for. They might not have had any reason to believe anyone would have gotten denied at the time of casting. Natasha Poly walked for La Perla a few weeks ago in Macau, although I do understand that they might have different travel/border rules.

It sucks for the girls but VS doesn’t owe them anything. They obviously didn’t cast them and then make sure they didn’t get entry visa. Shit happens, especially in fashion where models are travelling constantly. Not the first time a model has missed a gig due to travel restrictions and certainly not the last.

This is not confirmation. This does not mean two outfits. She said she had “fittings.” Every single girl has more than one fitting. Everyone read way too into this and spread it everywhere that Grace has two outfits. Grace has a Pink contract. She will walk Pink, and only Pink imo. Grace walking mainline came from a fan, and it spread from there.

You underestimate the Balmain fangirls. There will be so many 14 yr olds spending the entirety of their Christmas money so they can have something “designer.” Kinda bummed about the Russian girls since I like Kate and Irina well enough but I’m honestly happier for a smaller cast, and different outfit distribution.

I really don’t think Elsa could be gaining/losing enough weight in the span of a week to have a visible difference. Or at least, I’ve never noticed these changes. And while her weight certainly does fluctuate between fashion week/vsfs time, I don’t think her body changes are that different from any other model.

That fan pic of the performers is so painfully fan made guys. You can see where the idiot person who made it forget to erase the lines after they pasted a terribly LQ screenshot from the VS website. And if VS did make that image, please fire your graphic designer and hire me. I have no formal training but at least I have working eyeballs.

In case you're still wondering, Elsa mentioned in her WWD interview that Tom is going to Shanghai with her, and then they're going to Japan for a vacation after the show. Full sized. I'm loving her in the red for the SO. Like I mentioned in the VSFS thread, I could do without the necklace. If they wanted to accessorize, maybe some simple belly chains with the crystals, or even just a little belt would be much more cohesive. The wings look stunning.

I like the SO. I think the red is really nice on Elsa, and I like that it’s a simpler outfit. You can actually see the bra and panties instead of them being covered up with 9000 frills. I would definitely get rid of the necklaces though. They’re tacky af. The wings look beautiful and I wish we had a better profile look at them like someone mentioned. Loved Jas’ wings and boots, but she looks wildly covered up. Lingerie show where?

I think the fact that she is Mrs. Levine played into her getting two opening. I’d be totally happy to be wrong and see Elsa open twice, but I’m also quite content with someone else getting it this year since my girl already did it. I don’t think we can read into Elsa’s IG comments. She’s just real excitable.

Going to throw my two cents on the opening in: - Josephine has a sometimes decent walk when she’s not opening, but her MR opening was godawful, and I think her nerves played a huge part in that. There’s no way she would be able to handle the pressure of opening the entire show, imo. - Candice’s walk doesn’t suit an opening for me. I would rather see her close the show. - I’d be happy with Adri opening, although I would prefer it went to someone who hasn’t opened before. - Jasmine would be my first choice of the NA. I wouldn’t mind Romee, and I’d love to have Elsa have another shot at opening without Bill, but she opened last year and I can’t see her getting two in a row. Re: Katy- all her new songs are dog trash and I hope she doesn’t come anywhere near the show, but even if she doesn’t perform on the show, maybe they’ll use one of her songs for the performerless sections? Or a lip sync.

This caption, and the fact that it she's shooting at a beach and looks wet ALMOST makes me think they're bringing back swim. Edit: Also not casting Robin for the show, but using her for what seems like an important/big shoot. I will never understand VS.

They've had a lot of girls shoot this week for Valentine's with Russell/Jerome. So far: Elsa, Sara, Stella, Martha, Jasmine, Lily, Romee and Josephine. I'm a little surprised Lily shot, and we haven't seen Taylor yet.
