I feel like Taylor isn't that passionate about modelling in general. She's a beautiful girl, and I think her looks will take her far if she wants to, but I don't think modelling is her "dream come true" and I can see her retiring relatively early from the industry and moving onto something she finds more fulfilling. -
^ Yeah, I found the screenshots. It was in November, before the show so I definitely think before VS was considering Taylor/Romee/etc as Angels as none of them had even walked yet for the brand. I'm also assuming Elsa got the typical 3 year contract because she signed at a different time, rather than the 1 year trial contracts it seems like the NAs got, so she would be up for renewal right now?

Speaking of Barbara F- I wonder how she feels about being VS fit model but clearly having no upwards traction with the brand. Candice was their main fit girl before and look at her now, whereas Barbara has been doing it for years, and even gets a little spotlight for it, but she doesn’t even shoot with the brand and it’s pretty clear the VS has no interest in promoting her to anything else. I imagine being the fit model in relatively time consuming as well? Since they start the outfits very early in the year.

Lmao where are the other NA getting no criticism? Are we are the same BZ? You can’t post a picture of Elsa anywhere without getting flat fish comments. I mock Romee’s boob/baseballs constantly. Jo and her Harvey Dent face were getting torn apart just the other day, with people saying her skin was wack.

What was the outfit count again? 87? 3 x 13 Angels = 39 Which leaves 48 outfits left for 42 girls. So theoretically they could do it, and still give a handful of girls a second look, but considering Irina Sharipova(she’s not a regular or even a VS catalog fav) confirmed having two outfits, I feel like their outfit distribution is skewed towards giving as many girls as possible two looks.

There is a big difference between being inspired by a culture and specifically sexualizing the headdress, which is a very important and symbolic item in Native American culture. It’s highly revered, and it’s very understandable why there was such anger at the outfit. Not to mention, there has been outrage on those segments. Even in this and last VSFS threads, people have commented on the appropriation.
