Both of my brothers (aged 29 and 17) watched the show the last 2 years and still probably couldn't tell you what Adriana looks like, or have pictures of all the girls and a list of names and be able to match them. I'm not saying that there are no men who know who Adriana or Alessandra is, just saying that many people don't. The fact that their names are mentioned through out the show isn't saying much, not everyone pays attention to/remembers those things. And even if they were to remember their favorites, whose to say it has to be the ones who are featured the most. It could also be about personal preference. You listed Miranda and Adriana, but not everyone finds them appealing enough to even want to keep in mind or look out for. My older brother really liked Candice during the show and asked me her name during the heavenly bodies segment in 2010, didn't recognize her in any commercials/shows/photos after the fact, even while she was featured on most websites he visited through the year and was heavily promoted during the show. Just an example of how it's possible to watch the show and not have a name stick to you. Most men I know - know the names 'Gisele' and 'Heidi', they'd be able to associate a face to the name.

I guess I haven't been keeping up. Is she officially an Angel then? I'm not a fan at all. I know VS is through with Chanel, don't particularly like her either...but I'd still keep her over Arlenis. and ha..I didn't even recall /remember that she ever walked VSFS, apparently both in 08 and 09.

I think the who's leo dating now gossip is only natural, considering that he does switch his leading ladies quite often (not criticizing, but it's a truthful observation) At least apart from his long term relationships (Bar, Gisele, etc) And especially when he was young, like you guys mentioned..it's ordinary to be linked to several women. I think it should be expected and personally it doesn't really bother me. Does anyone remember that one interview where his answer to what turned him on spiritually, creatively, and emotionally was "the VS catalog" I think it really might be the truth for him...which is indeed interesting, and also reveals a lot about how he chooses to live his life. The 2008 commercial was definitely the most beautiful but I didn't like the dark red lips on Adriana. The theme of it, was more christmas-like and classier. But If they're going to go for sexy instead which I'm sure they will again this year--I'd much rather it be like the ad in 2006, or like the years before that. The 2009-2011 were whatever for me.. 2009 Especially. Too out there...with the girls in the desert, and Marisa tossing knives and playing billiards... I didn't like 2010 much either but I guess 2011 was a little better than 09/10.

I think it might just be you, a few of the pictures her face looks a little wider than usual, but most of them not so much IMO. And was Candice not supposed to participate in this event? Can't imagine VS wouldn't include her in an event like this ..intentionally.. :brows:

Adriana is bigger in certain countries than in others. In the US, in her prime she topped some of the hot list charts, that mattered in terms of exposure on websites (fhm, maxim, etc) but I do believe people recognize her more by her features and through VS than they do her name. A lot of people in the US don't know who Adriana is, and they don't know who Alessandra or Candice are either. They might recognize them upon seeing a picture, but name wise... a lot of people really don't. Even some of the people that watch the Victoria's secret fashion show or see pictures of the girls on sports websites (as most of the VS models are often featured on SI hot clicks)--but even then, people might be able to remember previously seeing the face, but the name recognition isn't always there. A name like Gisele, most people have heard of. Supermodels don't have the exposure, fame, and impact that they did in the 80s/90s. And someone said it in this thread a few posts ago, most people in America couldn't care less about fashion. They watch the VS show to see some hot women in lingerie, but really it's not on their mind after the show is over. Especially men. The majority of my friends don't even know who Candice is, face wise nor name wise..and she's been plastered everywhere through VS. Adriana has been a veteran, and yet some of them either recognize her face and don't know her name or they might have heard the name but can't assign a face.

I hope Alessandra or Doutzen get the bra, I like Behati too - she's especially cute on the runway, but I have a feeling they might give it to Alessandra while they can. I don't mind Candice most of the time, but I definitely would rather that she not get the fantasy bra as well (even though she will get it eventually) and she ruined the opening of the show for me last year, it was lackluster and without any type of energy. I'm ready to see some of the sketches for the show... last years show was better than 2010's, but then again..that isn't saying much.

Lindsay is not 28? If her real age is 25, I wasn't aware of that...I just went by what I saw on Wikipedia, and it said she turns 28 this November. But I do agree that sooner rather than later Adriana and Alessandra should leave. But I've heard Adriana say she wants to stay there as long as she can, which I don't really like. Modeling for VS and walking the VSFS into your late 30s? No thanks. I want to see magik mike! I'm surprised the reviews were so rave, because honestly, a movie revolving around channing tatum/matthew M playing male strippers? I expected it to just be about the eye candy, but all the reviews I've read so far have claimed that the eyecandy was just a bonus, and the movie was actually good. I just have to watch it for Bomer

I responded because 'Siemgi' told me 'my opinion was wrong', which I didn't even take personally hence the laugh. I was just trying to express why I thought she looked old in the show, and often times even outside of it. Not expecting anyone to agree with me... and it's not a one picture thing. For me. I could have picked any picture of her from the fashion show and felt as I do. No one has to agree or disagree with me... it was simply an example and/or reasoning of why I think as I do.

this??^^ It's a joke?? Are u living in 1450 when women where old at 20 and dead at 25 after they had 16 babies? Seriously???? Alessandra is 31(?) and Adriana is the same age.. They are young! U can say in 2012 a woman looks good for her age when she reached 60 but a 30 year old woman??? I agree. Women who look good for their age = someone like stacey dash. she's 46, I swear that woman does not age.
