It's probably a photographer, or video camera. The models will typically lock onto something, or someone. You can sometimes see them searching as they come down the runway, and then it's like they suddenly lock on to someone. Eye contact really makes the shot. At one of the big shows a season or so ago, as the models reached the end of the runway the house photographer would hold up his open hand, like a STOP! gesture, holding them while he shot a few extra frames. Then he'd wave them off, and they'd turn and go. I realized it also meant he was easy to find in the crowd.

I think it's "biker girl". He's got a motorcycle club ("Satan's Shepherds MC") jacket/costume, and hers has a Harley logo, so that's my guess. Though when I first looked at the photo of her I thought, "Is she Cher?"

^ ph. Scavullo That one has a grey background, interestingly. The only way I've seen it in print, and the one that's in Scavullo Photographs 50 Years for example, is with a pale-yellow-green background, as the one previous in pale yellow.

Oh that's interesting. I wonder what the pitch was like, Empire meets Mad Men for the 80s modelling industry? Casablancas and Elite would be an interesting departure point. But I'm a little skeptical there's enough for an episodic. What happens next week?! Let's poach another of their clients!!! Let's send another model on some more go-sees!!! Entourage in the 80s with a fashion model would be interesting. But that's a character focus point, not an industry focus which is what it sounds like they're doing. Look forward to it though.

Yes she's a good model. As modelknowledge said, Georgianna might not be as famous as Christy or Elle or Claudia, but she was in Sports Illustrated for example. (she's in the '96 mag issue, and the '97 desk diary. also in a video with Kathy Ireland in the '96 SI swimsuit calendar CD-ROM)
