  1. I believe that's a screencap from the movie Pollock, with Jeffrey Tambor (and Ed Harris).
  2. article in Harper's http://www.harpersba...-interview-0613
  3. I believe the Pamela is Pamela Paulshock. They look like they might all be from the same magazine. Maybe a SPORT swimsuit issue? (not Sports Illustrated -- SPORT, or Inside Sports maybe?)
  4. Thanks for the info. Never knew the original source for that image set. You appear to have the French edition of the Nov 1992 Playboy. Do you know if the French and US versions are different? For example, I think the cover is different, but I don't know about content inside.
  5. Maybe you've already thought of it, but would you have a model release in your files? Client contract? agency websites for Sydney?
  6. I'm really curious what her life was like in high school. I know she was a valedictorian and all. Was she considered the hottest girl in the school? Etc, easily, unless Linda, Paulina, Christy, Stephanie and the other supers were attending the same school....in that case she might have had some competition, but i doubt that's the case We've been looking for that photo for years! Ever since she showed it on The Tonight Show, we've been trying to track it down. It's funny that the page says "Save this valuable issue!" Bet that's true. If that turned up on eBay, "Cindy Crawford's first published cover photo", bet it would fetch a bundle. I think it's hard to say about "hottest girl". Niki Taylor, for example, I think, was a very beautiful young woman. Her shots from when she was fifteen or whatever, the quote I think I remember (in Michael Gross, Model, I think) is a scout who told the Taylor family that she had a million dollar face. But some people take a few years to grow into their looks, I think. And some models just photograph very very well. They really have the talent also. You work with them and they're just such great models.
  7. If you missed it, Cindy has a funny tweet about this photo: on her twitter @CindyCrawford https://twitter.com/...964922953011201
  8. ph Elgort, I believe, though I don't know an original source or date
  9. There's one on eBay (US) right now at $1.99 with $3.60 shipping. (no affiliation) http://www.ebay.com/...=item4ac51c2db4 We paid more than that for our damaged one. The 89 calendar is a great one. That's the only one Cindy Crawford is in. With Elle, Stephanie, Kathy, Estelle. ph Marc Hispard.
  10. Does anyone else think that that's one of the worst pictures of Stephanie? Why they chose that one of her, and for the cover, it eludes me. I think I especially hate the Princess Leia hair style. There are six other photographs of Stephanie in that year's calendar. Any of them would have been a better choice. Just FEI (everyone's info), in case someone wondered: That image appears to be a little distorted, the perspective/dimensions don't look the same as the original source.
  11. That's page 67 of the 29 Feb 1988 New York Magazine. Last page of a 14 page (!) editorial featuring Stephanie. She's also the cover of that issue.
  12. I have a hypothesis that I think it depends, or it's influenced a bit by your first introduction. Like, you decide whether you like the model or how much, and you assess what type of model they are from the first 10 or whatever pictures you see. If someone with similar tastes to yours picked out 20 "favorite" shots and put them in a gallery somewhere, and you stumbled across it not knowing who Susan was before. Versus 20 random shots about which you said, "Meh." Your opinion starts out in different places. She didn't do Sport Illustrated, but she did Sport magazine's swimsuit issue I believe, the year Elite populated it (w/ Cindy C). Oddly, I think one of her suits (swimsuits) went into an issue of SI. Susan did a lot of runway, HF, editorial. I would have loved to have worked with her. Though, *duh*.
  13. Runway, backstage, current. Katia Selinger (Next) walked the show. Is it her?
  14. Yes. Page 128-129 of Arthur Elgort's Models Manual. With Susan Holmes. Try a search here with the search +heather +christy Also, though not in the same picture, Heather and Christy appear on the same page of a New York Magazine issue: p 16, 23 November 1992, in the article, NOUVEAU BOHO (1993 SPRING New York Fashion Week). Not exactly what you asked for, but a little trivia.
  15. If you missed it: 1984 Skrebneski https://pbs.twimg.co...Y9jIw.jpg:large (from Cindy's twitter)
  16. edited: sorry I should have just checked back in the thread ... my question was answered This is page 44 of the 28 Feb 1983 New York Magazine. editorial: METROPOLITAN LIFE. ph Oliviero Toscani. Elle Macpherson, Bonnie Berman and Maria von Hartz are in the same edit. (!) First appearance is even earlier than that. It's at least Sep 1983: People magazine, 19 Sep 1983, p 36. Do you know the other models???
  17. For researching Ingrid, try here. Remember it's from 1996, so the movie files are small, 320X240 AVI I think. Not hi-def! Unfortunately, Valeria doesn't appear in any videos on the Softkey CDROMs, but the CDROMs do have rare stuff and outtakes with her. I believe SI cropped one of the shots for their calendar I think, and the uncropped one (or wider field view) is on the CDROM. Try here. I don't know where you are located, but about eBay and international, you might be able to get a pre-paid credit card that will work internationally. The fees might be obnoxious, but if you see something you really want, that might be a way. ?
  18. That's a great, great book. Highly, highly recommended. If you look on the back couple pages, there will be lots of slides, many of them with Christy (and Gail Elliot, and Linda Evangelista, Yasmin le Bon, ...), outtakes from shoots and location stuff. The book can typically be had used in good conditon for just ~ $5. Highly, highly recommended.
