Chanelle Jade Hayes (born 11 November 1987 in Styal, Cheshire, England) is an English television personality, singer and model. She was a student at NEW College, Pontefract, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, studying Spanish, Music & English before becoming well known by appearing on the Channel 4 reality show Big Brother in 2007 when she was 19 years old. Early life Chanelle's mother, Andrea Sinclair, a 32-year-old addict and street prostitute, was murdered by client Keith Pollard, on 5 April 1988, when Chanelle, born in Styal Prison, was not quite five months old.[1][2][3] Chanelle was then put up for adoption and was raised in Wakefield, West Yorkshire by Christine and Harry Hayes.[4] [edit] Career In 2007, Chanelle appeared on the eighth series of the UK's Big Brother. Chanelle began a relationship with another contestant, Ziggy, while in the house, and their relationship was the main focus of the show for many weeks until Chanelle eventually left the house on day 62. Outside of the house, Chanelle and Ziggy attempted to rekindle their romance, but it was short-lived and eventually they went their separate ways. Following her appearance in Big Brother, she found herself in demand, and appeared many times in newspapers and magazines doing photo shoots and interviews. In May 2008, Radio 1 declined to add her debut single to the playlist, despite interviewing her on the Chris Moyles breakfast show[5]. In May she also topped a poll by Domino's Pizza, to find Britain's least talented celebrity[6]. In June, she stated her "fame may be over" as TV producers started putting her television ideas on hold.[7] In August the organisers of V festival reportedly declined her request to sing.[8] Chanelle is said to be in talks about a new TV dating show.[9] [edit] Television work [edit] Big Brother 2007 Chanelle was a housemates of the 2007 Big Brother series Chanelle started a relationship with fellow housemate Ziggy in the house, though they split up and got back together several times during the series.[10][11][12][13] Chanelle was tested by Big Brother and had the highest IQ in the house, scoring 114. On Day 61, (Sunday 29 July 2007), Chanelle left,[14] and re-entered the house after seeing a psychologist.[15] Chanelle left the house on Day 62.[16] She re-entered the House on Day 89 as part of a task, however she had to leave minutes later.[17] [edit] Wannabe Hayes was asked to become a member of the judging panel in a VH1 UK show, Wannabe, where Chanelle and a panel of judges had to put together a band of 25+ year old girls for a live concert.[18] [edit] Nuts TV Chanelle has recently Co-presented live on Nuts TV with Oj Borg and has been asked to present the show on a regular Wednesday slot.[19] She had to stop presenting on the channel to make time for her music career. [edit] Chanelle: Wannabe Popstar Chanelle is also to star in a new reality TV series for VH1 UK called "Chanelle: Wannabe Pop Star",[20][21] launching on 18 April 2008, charting her progress as she attempts to make a debut single and music video.[22] [edit] Other television work Chanelle has also appeared on This Morning, Celebrity Scissorhands and Ready Steady Cook (1 episode, 22 February 2008, 2008) TV shows. On Thursday 5 June 2008 Chanelle appeared on the BB Launch Night Special of The Friday Night Project (1 episode, The Big Brother Launch Project, 2008). Among other things she co-hosted a quiz section with Brian Dowling. She has also appeared on How TV Changed Britain (1 episode, Fame, 2008). On Tuesday 23rd September 2008 Chanelle appeared as a guest on Losing It-Griff Rhys Jones on Anger[23], a BBC2 documentary by Griff Rhys Jones, where she discussed anger. On Sunday 11th January 2009, she appeared as a contributor on the BBC1 programme The Big Questions, presented by Nicky Campbell. The topic she was asked to talk about was, "Is it wrong to kiss and tell". [edit] Modelling Chanelle has modelled numerous times for Diva Corsets and regularly appears in the media promoting the Michelle for George lingerie line. In May 2008, Chanelle revealed that she wanted to make one of the biggest-selling calendars of 2009.[24] She revealed that she was aiming to beat glamour models Lucy Pinder, Gemma Atkinson and Keeley Hazell to the title, saying "All the girls are gorgeous and it’s brilliant to even be up there competing with girls who have been in the business a lot longer than me. But me, a relative nobody, came fourth this year, which is pretty damn good! Now I want to do even better and maybe knock one out of the way!". [edit] Music Having signed with Eminence Records[25], 7th Heaven (Ministry of Sound) have released a mix of Chanelle's new song "I Want It" for the dance clubs.[26][27] Chanelle's Original "I Want It" song and music video has premiered on MTV. The CD and online download of the song (including three different mix versions and a 7th Heaven radio mix music video) was officially released on Monday 12 May 2008. The song entered the official UK Singles Chart at No. 63.[28] The 7th Heaven and Club Junkies Remixes of the song reached top 10 in combined DJ club charts. Highest position No.2 in the UK Pop Club Charts (30/04/08)[29] and No.9 in the Upfront Club Charts.[30]. Chanelle has hinted at the possibility of recording a debut album.[31] Chanelle's American record label is Next Plateau Entertainment, which is affiliated with Universal Republic Records.

Her new doodle: OUT OF AUSTRALIA 1/11/2009 2:53:00 AM I am very very sad to report that I am just not ready to compete at the level required to win a Grand Slam. I have been working very hard over the past few weeks and my shoulder is doing great, but there is way more preparation and training needed to compete to win my fourth grand slam and I have just ran out of time. If they can move the Australian Open back another 3 weeks, I think I could be ready!! I have very mixed feelings, I am so disappointed and sad that I can't defend my title from last year and at the same time, I am so excited to be back on the tennis court training. After spending a majority of the last few months in Phoenix/ Scottsdale, it's been nice to spend some time at home with a normal regime of waking up and going to practice. I know that I'm working pretty hard when I need to take little power naps in between practices. If I may say so myself, I was the official Santa Claus of 2008. I set up little worker shop in my hotel room in Phoenix and one at home for the weekends. I don't know how many presents I wrapped but I never thought I would come to a point when I didn't want to do it anymore. So that lead to a quick stop at Papyrus and a stack of Christmas bags. The shopping on the other hand, I never get tired of. I was helping out all of my guy friends and their shopping lists. Shopping with or around men is a nightmare to begin with, but during X-mas time its a complete disaster. They're constantly complaining about the prices at the checkout. Their go-to is usually gift certificates which I have a problem with because there is absolutely no thought or meaning behind it. Others just walk around the stores saying Bahh Humbaa.. My grandmother was in town for quite a bit which led to a few things...cooking and doing non-stop jigsaw puzzles. There is only one thing that separates my cooking and my grandmas. You see when she's in the kitchen it seems like no one is there. When I'm cooking, I let the whole world know! There's flour all over the kitchen counters and ten feet away on the floor, I call everyone to let them know I'm cooking, and I finish that off with a mass email to my friends with a picture of what I cooked. And its always around the time the cleaner comes in. I guess I'm also leaving out one minor difference between the two: her tastes A LOT better. Yep, there's a very open dialogue when they're snapping your picture and no it's not normal. As far as music I have a new favorite..Michael Franti...you have to check out his songs 'Say Hey' and 'Never Too Late'. The Killers new album is amazing! Song four is my fave on the album. On another note, I wanted to let everyone know that I started working with a new Nike design team end of last year and have been working very hard on this years dresses. I cannot wait to play in them and unfortunately will have to debut the Australian dress a little later. There will be six of them altogether, changing colors in between the grand slams. The color palette is stunning and starting in 2010 you will see some really cool graphics. Gutted that she is out. Was so looking forward to seeing her play once again.However on the other hand im glad she is taking her shoulder very seriously now and hopfully will cure it for good...been like 4yrs now! I want to thank all my fans for their support, especially all my fans in Australia, I promise I will be there next year.

Maria Out Of Aussie Open 09 NEXT week's Australian Open has been rocked by the withdrawal of defending champion Maria Sharapova. Sharapova's management contacted Melbourne Park officials today with news her right shoulder injury had not fully recovered. Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley confirmed Sharapova's battle for fitness had been lost. "I'm obviously disappointed for Maria because she's extremely disappointed," Tiley said. "We've been in constant contact with Maria and she's decided to withdraw because she's not ready in her rehabilitation process. "She's loves the Australian Open and she loves Melbourne - she's bitterly disappointed." Sharapova, 23, has not played since Montreal in August because of chronic soreness in her shoulder. Sharapova had been desperate to defend the Melbourne Park title. But she last week withdrew from a Hong Kong exhibition, triggering fears she would have to bypass the Open. The decision comes as a massive blow to the Russian, who spent 10 weeks in Arizona rehabilitating. "We were working hard on my strength and building up all the muscles around my shoulder," Sharapova said on her website. "Since I can only do that for two hours a day, I also worked really hard on working on other parts of my body. "Unfortunately after my 10 weeks of shoulder rehab, I started hitting and serving again and I still felt the same exact pain that I have had in my shoulder since March." Sharapova then underwent arthroscopic surgery - but believed she would recover in time for the next week's Open. "I miss competing so much. I am trying to do everything possible to be ready for Australia, but I have promised my doctors, coach and family that I will not rush back," she said. "I have only been able to practice so many hours at a time which is why I don't feel like I am ready to compete at a high level right now and this is why I need to pull out of the exhibtion in Hong Kong. "But the great news is that we have taken care of the problem that has been bothering me so much over the last couple of years, and now is the time to get into what I call 'match shape'." Sharapova joins Lindsay Davenport (pregnant) and Nadia Petrova (viral meningitis) as high-profile absentees. Russia's world No. 5 Nikoloay Davydenko (foot) is the most notable casualty on the men's side.
