America was always far more of a kleptocracy than a 'democracy' in my lifetime. The democrats claiming that they are a 'democracy' have always been lying to the American people. The key beneficiaries of Trump's victory will be the billionaires and corporate interest groups that funded Trump's campaign (agriculture, auto, oil & gas, Elon Musk, any industry that Trump places tarriffs, etc) and the bottom 99% peons will get the scraps like lower gas prices and cheaper fast food.. The bottom 99% of the population always loses, every year. This is why living standards (psychological + material) has either stagnated or massively declined in my lifetime and American economic & military power has massively shrank relative to the rest of the world. It was better to be born a boomer/gen x than a millennial or gen z-er. My parents' generation had a much better life than the young people today. Far better.

Looks like Trump is going to win. The Democrats need massive ideological reform after this election no matter what. They have to find a way to tone down the obsession with race, gender and sex as it is repulsive to minorities too at the current level. Also win back the white working class which they largely abandoned in the 1990s.
