  1. @Stromboli1 The Hobbit films also had similar criticism, being big budget but the actual writing, acting, and casting was flawed. The irony is that Peter Jackson did both series. The behind-the scenes scoop was that the original Lord of the Rings Trilogy was a real unicorn, like the Witcher3. Many years of passionate hard work, vision, and pre-production went into making the films, and once they got the crew together it was perfect storm, really great casting, writing, art etc. However the Hobbit was a different story. It was corporate cash-grab and not a genuine project like the LOTR. The actual book only had one film worth of content and it was children's book too. The production of it was more along the lines of 'we're making it up as we are going on', just way less successful than the original trilogy. Ian McKellen ( Gandalf) even wept on the set at one point as it was not going well.
  2. @Enrico_sw My story behind the youtube channel is that I really admire how people can monetize and expand their engagement with their passions and life experiences. And most of all, share their unique gift (if they possess it that is--), which is their analysis, their perspective. This is a huge to me, that a good passive income can potentially be gained with this activity. It's like they did what they love, did additional work to convert it into videos, and then got well compensated which helps them to do other things with their life. You should know what I mean and maybe you feel the same way. Passions are really meaningful and fulfilling, particularly when you complete them. But they come at an exceptionally high cost of attention and time, where other less pleasant, often obnoxious but necessary 'real world' things could have been done. This has bothered me for a long time in the back of my mind. I completed by passions about 95%-97% so far and am in the position to contribute, I also have a lot of professional knowledge that could be released out there. If this can be converted into something successful in outside world it would redeem the sacrifices for following the path of one's soul, rather than taking the well worn, beaten paths. There are successful channels on youtube that has genuinely good, timeless, and helpful/educational content, without engaging in click baiting and current events. I hope that mine will be like that.
  3. This show seems to have really mixed (genuine) reviews, and Amazon is astroturfing where they can. I want to watch it later. I need to finish H of the D first.
  4. I heard that Rings of Power is better than the Witcher show but not as good as the House of the Dragon. It has huge production values but this is not matched with the quality of casting, writing, and acting. So it's like a great looking but middling show, not bad not great.
  5. There's something similar going on in Korea. (both pop stars and ordinary people). They frequently get facial work and then their noses all look the same lol.
  6. This girl has a really generic "Eastern European instagram model" appearance. They all look like they went out and got the same rhinoplasty.
  7. Thanks! I have a lot of the Adobe programs. The most important one is Premere Pro (video editing). Also have Audition, After-effects, Photoshop. Cyberlink Powerdirector (an easier version of Premere Pro). Cyberlink Screen recording 4. I have a lot more Adobe programs but didn't install them yet. Yeah, a really big story for me to start to try this.
  8. y. nadine looks great
  9. is she one of your top 5 models?
  10. This guy makes me laugh: far-right Polish extremist, starting his own political party. Wojciech Olszański – Wikipedia, wolna encyklopedia I find it interesting that he is an actor and director, he could just be a troll. Dresses like a nazi, a soviet, and an imperialist 😄 His daughter is an actress and she is gorgeous:

Half a year has past. In good shape, lean. Following the same exercise routine, but had somewhat less appetite this year. Lost a little weight, flat stomach.
  12. Yea, when it's actually a channel Literally just started. Know almost nothing about video and audio editing. I got a decent dynamic microphone just last week, and collected the software/equipment prior to that. I want to make a channel to monetize on my hobbies and knowledge. endless Book reviews/discussions will definitely be part of it. Maybe readings of some type (I have a decent radio voice). Subjects: Business, Military, Psychology/Philosophy, etc. Mostly non-fiction. So I want to make a channel that is actually viewed, not just a private project.
  13. Started recording myself recently. Making good youtube videos is a lot of work. I hope to make a good one soon.
  14. Probably? staged footage in the Kherson Oblast frontline, appeared about 1-2 weeks ago. Perhaps it is how the Russian defenders engage their opponent if they get close enough. The Russians are also known to perform a maneuver called 'feigned retreat'. The ground forces pull back and create a salient-like perimeter around the attacking Ukrainians, using artillery and airpower to do the fighting. Then after the Ukrainians had enough they retake the lost ground with the ground forces.
  15. The fourth day of the counteroffensive ended with a weaker attack and with few results. It remains to be seen if this is a 'long term' counteroffensive (a lot of weak attacks, expending their assault reserve including units pulled out from the frontline) against the Kherson bridgehead. The Russian mod claim for 9/2 has dropped: In just a day of fighting in this direction, the enemy lost 13 tanks, 19 infantry fighting vehicles, 12 other armored fighting vehicles, 11 pickups with large-caliber machine guns and more than 330 servicemen. Two militants were captured. This ends Russian claims for August 29- September 2nd as : 2500 Ukrainian casualties, 94 tanks, 81 IFV, over 100 vehicles of different types, 4 aircraft, 3 helicopters. This is probably their largest claim of the war. According to open sources so far it appears that the Russians are mainly defeating their attacks with artillery and counterattacks. But primarily the former. If the Ukrainians keep on attacking, without regard to their own losses, they might be able to recover a bit more terrain in the short-term. But probably not Kherson. There are too many Russian reserves south of the Dnipro. The Ukrainians claim to have struck several Russian ammo dumps and one pontoon bridge. It is unclear to me what the Russian ammo situation is. 2 months of strikes against Russian ammo dumps with HIMARs etc has not seriously degraded Russian defense capabilities for 4 days of Ukrainian offensive. It looks like any Ukrainian success of significance would rely on a temporary shortage of Russian ammo, through expending it in defensive fire and loss from ammo dump strikes. This would require many more days of ruthless commitment.

  18. 9/1 combat ended. Ukraine launched a weaker attack and the Russians stepped up their counterattacks. Another unsuccessful day for the Kherson offensive. There may be more tomorrow. JIEDOK(OvB) · Profile · Disqus A theory with evidence so far: "Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were lost: tanks - 51; BMP, APC and BRDM - 62; other AFVs - 49; artillery installations - 35. This number is enough to staff one mechanized or two motorized infantry brigades. Taking into account the fact that a significant part of the results of fire damage is practically not recorded, the real number of losses can be safely doubled. In total, at least four combined-arms brigades lost equipment. Recall that before the start of the SVO there were 25 of them, and already in the course of hostilities about 10 were formed (not counting territorial defense). In principle, if the current rate of fire damage continues, and the share of armored vehicles among supplies from the West continues to decline, then by winter 2/3 of the armed forces of Ukraine will actually be represented by infantry units."
  19. Rings of Power ep1 and ep 2 dropped. I must say that the monster budget shows. It looks more like a film than a TV show.
  20. If Stalin 'suspected' a conspirator, he immediately had them executed. So the best way for an ambitious Soviet to get rid of his rival was to spread fake news on his enemy lol. *Super G Girl, if you are reading this check you PM if you are bored and want something intensive.
