The excellence of GOT has so much to do with the writing in the novels and literally the fact that they casted around 20 iconic actors. I am starting Clash of Kings now. IIRC for S1 the main characters were Jon Snow, Eddard Stark, Cat Stark, King Rob, Arya, Sansa and Tyrion with some Cersei and Jaime. And of course, Dany, Jorah, and Drogo.
The final Rings episode dropped, including the final Sauron reveal. I will check how much people hate it later. LOL
