She is. I hope she gets the cover because I’ve been envisioning her getting it on her third year. First year Rookie of the Year, second year a shoot that wowed everyone, her third year the year she gets the cover.

I do see the criticism that Roos has one expression she uses all the time. Apparently, it sells but how long can the one trick pony go on? I think Robin is one of those people who the camera loves but she doesn’t look as stunning when she is not modelling. Her small eyes and prominent cheeks don’t look quite as good when she is giving an interview.

Ok, I gotta ask the tired question of, “Who do you think should get the cover?” but I’d like to read what would make someone a good cover model. I think the days of SI launching a cover model into superstardom are pretty much over unless one has the kind of instant star quality and mass appeal as someone like Kate Upton. I think most cover models need to have an interest that would set them apart from all the other models (like Chrissy with cooking, Ashley with body positivity advocacy) Recent cover models without a clear POV haven’t become household names in the same way.

Aww, I don’t think Xiao is the worst model! I think the outfit reflected unnecessarily badly on her. I understand Vanessa Moody being chosen as the worst newbie. When you are given such a lucky break, you need to rise to the occasion and show what you’ve got. Other models would kill for that position and they’ve worked very hard to get there. When she looked like she gave zero fucks, it made the whole opening/closing system into a mockery. Wow, surprised at Bella being chosen as the best! But she did have swagger on stage that a lot of other models were strangely missing considering it’s supposed to be the sexiest night on TV. And especially her black lingerie outfit was a lot sexier, revealing and flattering to the body than most outfits.

Hmm, I hope we’ll find out when this happened. Maybe it could explain her acting shady about Ashley Graham being on the cover of SI. Often that kind of stuff comes from a place of hurt. “I was told I was fat and didn’t get the job, but she is way bigger than I am and now she is on the cover of SI!”

Strong representation from Brazil. I think VS is associated with Brazilian models a lot for obvious reasons.

My guess is they are gonna focus heavily on China and rebrand there. Trying to change the perception in the U.S. market might be too expensive.
