Ah, that sucks... looks like EA-like tactics. But at least Skyrim is older than both those Fallout, so I guess they started with it later? Though neither Doom nor Skyrim are solo games: Skyrim being The Elder Scrolls V, and Doom a reboot of an already rather long series with a new release rather recently (with I haven't yet played). But yeah, in general I really don't like this trend of having tons of DLCs for every game.

What's with Bethesda? I've only played Skyrim and Doom from them but they're both awesome games. I'll put The Witcher and Dark Souls on my list

Skyrim is great! And who cares about the rather outdated graphics if the game is good anyway. It has a good story, TONS of in-game lore and I really enjoyed the playability. Most I've heard about the Dark Souls games is that they're insanely difficult. Which makes them interesting of course
