They always swap some outfits last minute (Maryna and Alessandra in the first segment of 2009, Magdalena and Adriana in the first one of 2010 and so on). They also have some models try on different outfits during fittings.

I know I'm late with replying to this, but I was also wondering about that. They probably decided there's already 'enough' models of colour in the show to fill their quota Her Angel contract had run out and she didn't attend casting. IIRC, she was on the "dream board" at casting, though.ETA: proof

^^While I think it is important to remember the past and learn from it, I also do believe that people aren't responsible for the sins of their elders. Karlie, VS and the rest of America today have nothing to do with the Native genocide, hardly anybody in Europe is still alive from those who took part in the Shoah and the other genocides that took place 75 years or so ago. They shouldn't have to feel guilty for something they didn't do. If you're a jerk that's your fault. If your ancestor was a jerk, there's not much you can do. I choose to believe that, through choosing Thanksgiving and through that outfit, VS was celebrating the Native culture, not disparaging it. Sure they did it in a tacky way, but then again, when isn't VS tacky? Also, re:Karlie, I don't mind her for PINK or lounge or whatever, but I am slightly irritated by the fact VS pushes her as one of their main faces because she doesn't fit my idea of the brand as a whole. Likewise I think Lindsay is much more fitted for the cute or sophisticated type of products, while Candice is better suited for Swim or the more Bombshell type of stuff.
