Jeez, Sympathy. Thank you. You're going to make me all misty again. You know I want that gig. Bad. Gimme a camera, some models, a bunch of open-ended first class tickets, a chaperone to make sure I don't wind-up in prison, and I'll bring back some A+ pictures. But since I'm not going to have that job, or even lotion-up Hannah Ferguson's butt anytime soon, I say we start a new competition thread. I imagined making it sort of an SI all-time fantasy swimsuit team thing based predominantly in the present. And reality. Or not. Maybe Princess Leia in the space bikini is your kicker. Since there's already a thread that's going to chew-over the 2016 SI issue ad nauseam for the next 360+ days, mix it up a bit. Draft 15 girls (obviously they can be shared) and then pit members' teams as a unit together in a single-elimination tournament of some sort. Keep it simple, pictures are required, and the "team" breakdown goes something along these lines: - 4 returning girls from the 2015 issue - 1 rookie from 2015 - 1 SI veteran pre-1995 - 2 athletes - 5 swimsuit models currently working anywhere - 1 picture of a girl that you think would make a great SI cover and the more I think about it~ - your favorite swimsuit babe from a movie of any era That makes it a little more creative, interesting to see who those bottom 7 girls are, and gets outside the box of shuffling the same finite group of models over and over. The last element alone should make for some pretty funny commentary. Your thoughts?

No sweat. I've been called a lot worse. A few pages back, Memento Mori put forth the idea of designing your own swimsuit issue in a new thread. An interesting idea. If we're so smart, how would we do it? He suggested putting parameters and guidelines on it. I have to disagree there. Along with the usual cast of characters, why not make it open to any girl? One of the most fascinating things about the SI issue for me is discovering a relatively unknown model. Any thoughts?
No. We like ridiculously, implausibly hot chicks that you can never find IRL. And when I saw Kelly at the NYSE I thought that those guys must be thinking that they'll see hotter girls when they go out to bars after work. Exactly. The average girl jogging by my place at the beach in San Diego makes Kelly Rohbach look like a boy, and Crissy Teigen look like a martian.super villain. I find it hard to believe that the woman on the left will ever have her finger on the pulse of what the typical reader of a publication called Sports Illustrated is looking for in his swimsuit issue. Know your audience. This isn't Malnourished Headcase Weekly. She should probably ask the advice of the girl on the right. Kate gets it. She put on a tiny bikini and floated around in zero gravity.
Who is this girl? Love this cover That's "cheap" Charlotte McKinney. Whatever that means. She was the "New Kate Upton" right before the last 17 or 18 new Kate Uptons. And quite easy on the eyes. If they were smart, SI would have gotten her involved in this issue. They did not. They are not. I think SI has lost its way with the pompous politics involved in this once a year issue of a sports publication. I don't have a subscription anymore, but I do follow their website regularly. In the old days, the swimsuit issue would arrive by mail, and I would think holy $@#&! to myself while I studied the cover. This year's would make a good coaster for my coffee. Speaking as a guy who knows what he likes, and who couldn't care less about the personal lives of these girls when they're not being photographed to sell something, Sports Illustrated blew it. And they've been sucking it for a quite a few years now.
